A wide array of affordable herbal remedies for many common complaints. Without the high prices or nasties of the pharmaceutical alternatives. Give nature a try first. Very warm and friendly staff with a wealth of knowledge they are happy to share. You feel better from just being in this lovely space.

On a recent visit to the Urban Fringe Dispensary I had hoped to ask for some advice and guidance regarding my health, needless to say I left feeling completely and utterly patronised and condescended.I was dealt with with ZERO compassion and was made to feel as though everything I have done so far to help myself had been completely wrong. No matter what I said or did, I was wrong.Absolutely nothing was done to make me feel at ease. I felt, and indeed believe I was, judged from the outset.The atmosphere fostered here did nothing to encourage my trust or even to feel rest assured.Nobody should ever be made to feel this way, least of all in the context health care and advice.

Fantastic herbalist shop with really knowledgeable and helpful staff

Incredible little gem located near Christmas steps. Somehow I always end up wandering in when I feel under the weather and they seem to have a solution for most (if not all) of your conventional ailments. Also, everyone who works there is super helpful and kind, and most importantly, they know what they are doing. Their products have helped me get better even when I was quite ill, taking antibiotics. I'm sure many would join me in thanking them for keeping their craft alive and making their products available to all of us.

Max the herbalist is a gentleman and a good listener, he is extremely knowledgable and it’s herbalists like this that I see like a Dr in my eyes. Herbalists have always helped me and my health issues and I have never had any real side effects apart from I can’t take Valerian as it gives me terrible nightmares. Herbalism is powerful and has helped me much more than what western medicine has. He does these amazing powders that have helped my tummy issues no end to settle with my Barrett’s. In 3 years I have come off 5 western medicine drugs that were causing me a host of side effects. I hope in the future to try and get rid of 1 more but all in good time as it is a journey that needs tweaking and adjusting. Max actually listens and seems like he cares and has passion for what he does. Price is reasonable compared to other herbalists and great that he doesn’t charge a dispensing fee. You’re getting top notch service at Urban Fringe with fast dispensing and herbs that work extremely well and have evidence behind them for the more of action. The herbs help me to live a more comfortable life and allow me to cope better with the health problems that I face. At least these herbs don’t give me high blood pressure and a heat arrhythmia like the western medications I were taking. I mean to be then given other medication to help the blood pressure and the heart issue caused by two other medications. Western medicine at times is totally broken and has lost the art of actually helping the condition but often trying to help, it becomes a detriment of the patient. There is a place for western medicine but I truly feel herbalism should be integrated in to the western model of health care, that probably will never happen and that is really sad. More and more people should try herbalism as I really believe many would be surprised of its efficacy. Western medicine does have its place and not saying that all medicines are bad but we do live in a world where people want a quick fix and it’s sad that western medicine doesn’t always have the patients best interests at heart.

Great place, lovely people, a spot of history and natural alternatives. I really like this place ♥️

Very helpful staff and great products! Giving my body a break from all that paracetamol for coughs, throat aches, period cramps etc.
