Milnthorpe Kennels and Cattery

An excellent kennel - from initial inquiry, through to drop off and then pick up, everyone was helpful and friendly. Our dogs were well looked after, safe, and exercised. It was also good to see that staff were checking vaccination record cards to make sure vaccinations are up to date. Our dogs are booked to go back again later this year!

Absolutely awful. We took our dogs for an overnight stay and told the young man we would pick them up the next afternoon. He said this would be fine, but when we came to collect them we were told that because we hadn't collected them before lunch the charge had now doubled. Nobody had warned us, and we were charged an extra £32. The charge for a day's boarding would have been £17, but they insisted we must pay for an extra day and a night. Dreadful. No need at all.

Stella, Chris and the lovely team have looked after our dog Shadow multiple times every year for the last 12 years. They started off dealing with a dog full of energy, then over the years dealing with numerous medications and generally pampering our gorgeous old girl. Shadow never put the brakes on when we pulled up and she was welcomed as an old fried. They have been kind and caring throughout all those years. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Our cat came home after a week here and was happy and healthy and appeared to have been treated very well. Would recommend.

Both dogs came back happy & contented & clean. Was worried as the older dog a rescue & previous experience in kennels not good. Younger dog an annoying adolescent and was worried about him tormenting her 24/7. All staff seem very professional & helpful & have booked them in again, thank you

My cat Sassy was boarded here 6 years ago when I moved from the Highlands and many times since as I was regularly visiting my elderly mum down South. Stella, Chris and the other staff are lovely - caring and very professional. Sassy was always happy there. Sadly she just died at 18.I have no hesitation in recommending this boarding place for cats and dogsJenny

We hold this boarding kennel in the highest of esteem. The staff are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Our dog is happy to stay and always returns well-fed, refreshed, clean and contented.Highly recommended!

RSPCA Owned Building...but PRIVATELY owned kennels and cattery. I don't believe the staff here have any real duty of care to the poor dogs that are sent here to be Rescued"... I was involved in saving a poor little staffie from a drunk man who was violently beating the dog "luckily" the dog was seized by police and taken to a "rescue center". The police got in touch about 2 weeks ago to let me know where he was my wife rang the kennels and was told he had been returned to his owner...I have had an update from the police today which is still ongoing regarding the mans animal abuse charges so decided to ring and double check it was the right dog. The girl who answered the phone was not just rude but she had absolutely no care in regards to this poor animals welfare...She stated they are just a kennels and to contact RSPCA in regards to the dogs welfare. I honestly am absolutely gobsmacked and heartbroken for the dog. The dog was terrified of his owner the night he was seized and I hate to think what's happening to the poor animal right now. I would be very careful of even leaving dogs or cats in the care of this cattery after speaking to such a heartless

Friendly and caring staff make it easy to drop off your loved pets. The shop is also well stocked with all sorts of pet supplies.

Bev, the owner, and the girls look after Reg and Denzel like they were their own. You can tell how much they care for the animals under their control. Friendly and professional.
