Shambolic. Gave them a jacket to replace the zip on and they said a week. Came back a week later and nothing done. Tailor was ‘confused’. No calls, no contact.

The turnaround time was better than expected and the staff went out of their way to pull me out from a difficult situation. Would recommend 10/10!!

This is no longer Lux but part of Droplet - a larger chain. Avoid taking valuable items, fine for shirts.They send items to be cleaned offsite and in the process use safety pins to attach labels which is fine if they put them in logical places. Had an item damaged from putting it on main fabric vs label causing a hole. They said they “had to” do it but this could have been avoided.Customer service was lacking in response to this situation - not even an apology. Will not return and use a dry cleaner that cleans on site.

I had very good experience with this laundrette . The cloth cleaning quality is very good. Brilliant customer service and polite staff. Experience drivers I will 100% use again.

Situated in proximity to my home, I have used them twice. Although they did not manage to remove the stain completely, as well as it took longer than promised, the first visit was ok. However, after my second call, I will never return. Regrettably, I brought them a vintage silk gown from the 1950s, hoping to get it freshened up for an event, for which, considering status quo, I will have to find something else to wear, unless another dry cleaner can save the day. Not only had the gown acquired some new stains, but the general finish was absolutely terrible. Overall wrinkly, with some of the central pleats done in the wrong direction, further embellished with abrupt and wrinkly ends of the sharp pleat lines, the once so elegant folds and draperies of the bust and the skirt now looks awful. Worst of all was the bust, which looks absolutely dreadful – seemingly treated without effort or care. Of course, I complained when I came to pick it up, demanding them to redo it – I even came by the following morning, as they requesting, to speak with the man responsible for the pressing, to make sure he would get the dress the way I, the paying costumer, wanted it. He told me, in a rather demeaning manner, that he had been working with this for a decade or so, hence knowing better than me what he was doing. Surely, he knows better how the processes work, but there is no doubt he has some shortcomings regarding design. However, after a frustrating (and somewhat infuriating) conversation, he promising to reinforce the sculptural folds of the bust and fix the skirt, so it would fall naturally, but when I came back to pick it up two days later, nothing had been done. At this point I thought it best to take it with me, to seek help elsewhere, before they caused further damage. The only thing I regret more than not asking for my money back, is leaving the dress in their care in the first place. Henceforth, I will use Boyle’s dry cleaning on Theobalds Road instead!

Recently my wife had a few articles of clothing dry cleaned at Droplet (Gray's Inn Road outlet) including a shirt of mine. To our surprise & shock my shirt returned with all labels removed. The collar label was cleanly cut off with cutters and all traces of branding was cut out from the care labels within. First reason offered by the staff was that it must have fallen off in the cleaning process. After some consideration and confusion my wife returned to further pursue the matter and spoke to another staff member. In this case she was told that the labels couldn't have just fallen off and the manager will be consulted. The shirt was left at the premises and we allowed some time for the manager to review the situation. She returned again to pick up the shirt and asked for an explanation and compensation for what had happened. But the explanation this time was that the damage didn't occur at the premise and maybe we are responsible for the missing labels. This was clearly not a valid or coherent explanation - and frankly unprofessional and insulting. Ordinarily I would not care too much about labels or branding, but this was a Tom Ford (circa £300.00 retail) piece specially bought by my wife for our wedding. It was only bought in May 2022 and worn twice - it was practically new. The shirt is tied to its quality / design, but also to its maker - removing the labels takes a lot away from the item's value and most importantly it has degraded something sentimental to me. This was explained to Droplet, but obviously they couldn't care less - we will never use their services again and would caution others against leaving high value items with them.
