Always a pleasure to travel EMR. Staff just brilliant. I often upgrade to first coz it’s an absolute pleasure. Hats off to the amazing 1st class Crewe of the 1532 to Sheffield 25/4/23 and their colleagues on other services from London to derby who I meet every now and then. Keep going and keep having fun.

Advance tickets could be changed for free in the past. Now, to squeeze even more money out of consumers, they charge a £10 admin fee even when the changes are made online or via their app both of which are very glitchy.

The fact that a daily round trip London-Nottingham could cost the same as a flight to Greece with more flexibility on tickets, just blows my mind.

I arrived to my rickety wagon with elation, for it was only delayed for twenty minutes this time! Alas I had to summon all my strength to move between carriages, for two separate doors were broken from one side, occasionally stopping to rescue a forlorn passenger.Despite paying five times as much as any other country on the continent, I had to sit on the floor (despite being very ill) because the reservation system was, shockingly, also broken.The service still sells more seats than it does tickets. Alas, covid has once and for all proven that the service actually can easily stop this whenever they want, but they simply choose not to. I assume this is in order to ensure staff are paid their princely sum of a real terms pay cut year on year since before I was born.Perhaps this is why I couldn't see a single member of staff in sight, as they have all left to pursue better endeavours such as therapy.

What is the point in giving reserved seats and locking ourselves into a specific train when both our trips (Fri and Monday) didn't have the reservations honoured and it's just a free for all. Staff as human beings are great but the organisation of the service is poor. What made it worse was we used it to get down to the Eurostar to get over to Germany to get about by train there. Contrast couldn't be bigger! Super efficient, run like clock work, reservations actually honoured!!! We really have a lot of catching up to do, it's pretty embarrassing to be honest.

Outbound Notts -> London was fine, the return was terrible. £100 extra to catch a 7:30pm train vs. 9:30pm train (both off-peak). Revenue Protection Bouncers with stab proof vests stalking the isles. First class toilet out of service, a fare dodger locked in the next one, the final toilet was behind a faulty door which I had to prize open, rubbish strewn in the corridor, no running water and soapy hands. I cannot see how things will improve without significant investment. The staff on hand were polite and friendly, just the conditions so bad.

2 carriages for 2000 passengers that was the situation last Saturday. Had to wait for like more than an hour to get into a train to Nottingham.Almost everyday the services get delayed and cancelled especially on Sundays the first train will defo be delayed.Most of the carriages are awful and not clean
