The Arts Centre Telford

I'm incredibly lucky to work with the team at TACT as a teacher and associate director.The focus on arts education throughout the company's offer is what sets TACT apart from others whether it's the youth company or the adults.TACT offers a range of services including regular professional standard performances, private tuition in singing, acting and music and choirs too. They have also recently launched their Solutions for Schools offer; providing arts professionals in schools throughout the midlands and beyond.If you're looking for a friendly, energetic and engaging arts company with a clear focus on education and development (for students and staff I might add) then TACT is for you.

I've been involved with TACT for almost 2 years now and the things I've gained from the time there as a performer and person I'll keep with me and use for a long long time, if not forever. I've been disciplined in multiple areas of performance not only including singing acting and dancing, but also audition technique, repertoire development, direction and theatre tech. After private tuition with TACT and also taking part in multiple projects, I've managed to gain a place at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to study BA Musical Theatre until 2019. This is a massive achievement for me and one that wouldn't have happened without the help and guidance of the team at The Arts Centre Telford.

The Arts Centre Telford offers fantastic opportunities for kids and young adults to perform all over the West Midlands, gain confidence and make new friends. The team are experts and make you feel like part of the TACT family. I have had singing lessons with them for a number of years and I can't recommend TACT enough to anyone looking to improve their singing, acting or dance.

During this past year The Arts Centre Telford have offered me amazing opportunities to learn through singing, acting and dance lessons and also through performing on stage. I have created great friendships through the company and have met some truly inspirational people who are very passionate about what they do. Whenever I walk into the TACT building I feel more than welcome by everyone inside and the standard of teaching given is through the roof. I would recommend TACT to anyone who wanted to go on to train at drama school or even if they wanted to take part in classes for fun. They have given me confidence when I've been down and given me praise when I've done well. Without TACT I wouldn't have had a clue about auditioning for stage school and I am very happy to say I've been placed on the reserve list for Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Our son joined TACT in January and attends dancing/acting and singing classes as well as taking part in the shows. He thoroughly enjoys it and would be there every night of the week if he could.The teachers are incredible and very talented. They have a great relationship with their students and always put on an outstanding show. I'm very proud to be a TACT parent.

I have only been at TACT for a short amount of time but I already feel so welcome. Everyone there is so lovely and the staff are incredibly talented and amazing teachers! I can already see so many improvements in myself since joining and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in performing arts!

I've been at TACT since I was 11 and a bit and it has honestly been the best 4 years of my life spent. Everybody that attends, including staff and all cast members are so friendly to each other and there is such a professional feel to the company and I just love it! I've not only been part of the shows but I have been lucky enough to watch some of the shows that TACT have out on and they are absolutely amazing. I would recommend it to absolutely anyone and everyone that has an interest in Performing Arts. The best company around, I can guarantee!!

I was involved with TACT in the first few years of the company, performing in musicals and having private singing tuition. The staff are incredibly talented and passionate about teaching. Many who have been members of TACT have used the knowledge and skills they've gained from their time there to help them get into Stage Schools and Conservatoires. Personally, i've found that the skills I gained from being a part of TACT have been beneficial in all walks of life.In the years since, I have had the pleasure of attending many of the shows that The Arts Centre Telford have put on. It has been great to see some of the amazing young musical talent of Telford and to see the improvement of those who have continued to perform with the company for many years.

2 of my children take part in TACT lessons and shows, with another wishing to audition for the next show, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Extremely professional and talented teachers across the disciplines, which is evident in the incredible shows they produce. They bring out the best in the children that take part. Beware though, once you child starts, it snowballs and they want to be there more and more, luckily for the waiting parent, there is a cafe!

A brilliant, professional and friendly company! The quality of every project is outstanding from costume to choreography to direction, every element is spot on without fail. The staff and team are experienced, passionate and knowledgeable and do everything they can to impart that knowledge in a fun and engaging way!TACT offer such a wide variety of opportunities for all ages, and everyone who visits the TACT building is made to feel at home. The cafe is a lovely place to sit and soak in the creative vibe over a cup of coffee!I am extremely proud to be a part of TACT and have enjoyed watching it develop into a fantastic opportunity/service for the creative community in the Midlands!
