Gluten free Tuesdays, yay.The batter 8s light and crispy any my non gluten free mates always want to try n then prefer it.But they don't just stop at fish and chips, the mushy peas, curry sauce and vinegar are gluten free too.Next time I'm going to try the gf Southern fried chicken.No pics tho as there gone too quick. The only negative is that it's only Tuesdays and at their sister shop (the island house) on Wednesdays.

I think there has been a change of management and this place has gone from quite good to pathetic in a very short time.I cannot believe a large fish was the size of a battered sausage. The chips were good and the large portion was very good.I ordered the large Donner meat and got a small box which was not even 3/4 full. Absolute robbery. I am very suspicious of some of the favourable reviews here.

Had a new refurb and visited as my local chippy for a while.Has generally been a decent chip shop but lately has been some hit-and-miss moments. (Picture of battered cheesy chips, not much cheese in general and lots of small batter mix at bottom)Overall more hit so worth going....

Five out of five for me. Had a sausage and chips dinner which was delightful. It’s been a long time since I have been to a “chippy” and got some good “salt n vinegar” chips with some batter ones at the bottom and the sausage was great really enjoyed it.Price was cheap as-well, speedy quick service, spotless clean and great service from lovely smiling staff.Thanks.

great food but ohhhhh the parking is so so dangerous people parking on double yellow lines and on pavements blocking in other users.....having said that the cause of it all is the superb food nicest fish i have tasted in a long time....sort out the parking and it would be the place to go in Wolverhampton

The Lunch Box Special is more than enough for a big lunchtime appetite, and the orange chips are the best in Wolverhampton. Combined with friendly and fast-working staff, and it is pretty much impossible to fault this place. Top Class.

It's been a while since I have been there 12 months easy.....well it's going to be even longer next time chips were horrible and at over £5 I feel I have been robbed after eating them or what I could they were dry and hard looked to me to be left overs from the evening before ( purchased 2pm on a Saturday) I would say that there are new management as the old owners would never have served what I had......I did rate newbridge as the best not no more Pennfields chippy is now the best in my eyes by a country mile so don't waste your money at newbridge chippy

How disappointing,battered chips were almost inedible.This chippy used to be the best around,but this is twice now I have been there and the food has been sub standard,never again,what’s happened?????
