Wee car park. A wee walk among the grass lands (bird flu warnings). Opening onto the vast shore line which you can walk for long distances when the tide is low. Truly spectacular. Worth a wee stop just to experience, explore or walk the pooch.

The hidden side of Holy Island. Another simply huge beach, unspoilt and never busy. It takes a walk to get there but worth it every time.

Stunning, unspoilt beach.Easy to reach from The Snoop car park, but also just by parking on the bays after the causeway and crossing over the sanddunes. Free to park either way.Totally deserted when we visited, despite the rest of the Island being packed (it was peak holiday season).Definitely worth stopping here on your way to or from the main Island car park.

Stunning and peaceful. Well worth a walk over, wearing walking boots. Lovely to see seals bobbing their heads in the water (a couple per bay) and amazing birds. Each bay looks different and walking the sand dunes are fun.

Very flat beach, good for ball games. As a destination from the town this was a 6 hour walk / play there and back with kids

This was an amazing find. We initially came to look at the two houses here and parked in the car park to walk to them. We then decided to look at the beach so walked through the dunes and out onto the largest beach expanse I have personally ever seen!! The tide was going out and out and out leaving a veritable desert on the side of Lindisfarne. The heat haze across the sand was amazing so we followed the sea. It was a hot day so I was amazed at how quickly it had dried the sand. We found some amazing shells and then walked back to the car. I'd go to lindisfarne just for this if I was local. This car park is free and I recommend good footwear for passing through the dunes as some of the plants are really spikey and hurt when they get you just right. Bring a picnic and some digging implements, this has the makings of a child paradise.

I'm so glad this is an unknown little gem. I have been here at different times of the year and it's always been quiet. Walk through the dunes and you are met a desert like beach stretching on and on and on. The waves dance as the wind whips away the crest and the sand rushes over the beach like an army rushing to battle. I find it magical and never tire of the vast emptiness. It's perfect.
