My daughter and I had afternoon tea here as part of a spa day. The best afternoon tea we have had in a long time. Staff were amazing and very friendly. A great atmosphere. Won’t be going anywhere else now. 10 out of 10. ❤️ see you soon ☕️ ❤️ thank you all so much ❤️

Food was above average. Person waiting on us kept rushing us on deciding what we wanted to order, showing up every two minutes. Place looks more like a pub than a tea room.

Came with my family for afternoon tea.Food served was lovely, especially the scones, beautifully made.Unfortunately mood dampened with the service.Staff clearly untrained/no communication between staff.We had someone in our party who didn’t want any hot drinks with the afternoon tea. We asked one of the waiters what was best to do, thinking that only hot drinks were included, and he claimed all drinks are included with the afternoon tea.That’s all well and good, but when another member of staff came over when we tried to order more, he reiterated it was only hot drinks.When I tried to explain to him that another member of staff had made that claim, and I had tried to explain to him politely and calmly, just so he understood what had happened, he replied in rather a rude manner.Despite this whole ordeal he didn’t charge for the soft drink as of course it was not our fault.I am grateful he finally listened to what I was trying to explain to him but it did make me feel rather uncomfortable for the rest of the time I was there, and that interaction alone would mean I wouldn’t go again.Hopefully more training in communication and understanding of the menu should be given to the staff.

Service wasn’t too great. The space also felt very small. We felt that the afternoon tea wasn’t great value for money and most of the items didn’t have much taste to them.Lovely setting though and the bathrooms were really pretty!

I was here for mothers day, our party including a vegan and a vegetarian.The vegetarian and vegan offerings both varied from the respective menus without any notification. We checked if the different item still met our dietary requirements and we're told my a member of staff that this was the case and the variance was as 'they are just throwing anything out' to customers.I can imagine mothers' day is a busy occasion and I would have understood this to a degree. Everyone was offered a glass of complimentary prosecco which was a nice touch.My concern though was the extensive wait for our food followed by the expectation soon after it was served that we needed to leave.We had a 12pm slot with the next slot of bookings at 1.45pm. Menu choice confirmed with full payment two days prior.This is what happened:12 noon: arrived, received hot drinks, fifty minute wait for food that had been confirmed and paid for two days prior12.50pm: Food arrived1.05pm: Fifteen minutes after food arrived, told table needed back 'in thirty minutes'1.10pm: Twenty minutes after food arrived, told table needed back 'in ten minutes'1.15pm: Twenty five minutes after food arrived asked if we needed boxes for leftover food to take home.At this stage my husband and also the couple in the next table had finished only their savoury options.1.20pm: Thirty minutes after food served, table cleared whilst we were still sitting there.I appreciate the need for turnover on a busy day and in the current financial times for businesses. However it is not fair to give customers minutes to consume a three plated afternoon tea, after waiting almost an hour for the prepaid food to be served. If timings are so tight, this should be the expectation with the restaurant itself as well as with customers.I felt sorry for the staff who were in themselves lovely, but all of this was done without apology.It was a rushed experience when we were all but asked to leave as soon as our food was ready. This was after paying a premium price of £28 per person.I would not recommend this experience to others.

Great service - the guys here were honest and frank about when we were likely to get a seat and gave options. The drinks were beautiful and so well made (we were ordering from the Glasgow Cocktail Weekend menu). Everyone was attentive, the atmosphere was great - can’t fault it at all!

Visited here this week for a festive afternoon tea and it was amazing. Great service and the food was amazing - and there was plenty of it. This was my 2nd time having afternoon tea here and would definitely recommend.
