Missed train because delay at airport. Member of staff In train station told I need buy brand new tickets. Even I had insurance but insurance company dont want to help. Such I ripped off money. Instead pay difference I wasted one of the tickets tbh. Long distance train and no possibility to buy bottle of water even. Very bad experience. First and last time I travel with that train

So lovely clean train, it arrived on time also. Toilets clean. Staff lovely. Plenty of space to put luggage either over head or in luggage compartment. Can I just ask why when I was travelling down to Edinburgh from Newcastle why my 8 year old Grandson was put on a table seat and me on a table seat on other side????Now when you book up it asks adult child I put 1 adult and 1 child even ask age of child, I put window table seat also. We got table seats on different tables but no window either. Wasn't busy train either. What did I do wrong when booking.Nevertheless I will use again as it got me to A-B on time and I got good price. I will recommend to family and friends but warn them what might happen as you do have to pay for children, I wouldn't want them sitting on my knee the whole journey x

we were on first class from liverpool - preston - edinburg which is quite good. but the lack of food and drinks options are really bugging us.we were hoping to have something to eat but were only given a pack of chips and some drug biscuits. there were no other options available. thought that could be improved.

Without a doubt the worst train operator in Britain. Trains cancelled more often than not. Only plus side is with delay repay you essentially get to travel for free due to the delay in waiting for the next suitable train.

The Trans Pennine Express (TPE) is very poorly run train company. My wife and i had first class tickets to go from Manchester to Glasgow on October 14, 2022. The train was canceled on our trip to the station. Fortunately, I was able to book tickets on another train to complete our journey almost on time. However, the process to get a refund for this canceled train has been excruciating. When contacted, TPE said that -- despite us purchasing the tickets on their website -- they had no responsibility for the refund. They referred us to Trainline -- another company. After several weeks of communicating with Trainline, we realized that RailEurope had sold us the tickets. I did not know that because i never got direct communication from RailEurope. RailEurope declined our refund request because this was now beyond 28 days. They did say that this 28 day limit was imposed by TPE and TPE could waive this limit. However, TPE denied this. I still have no refund and am taking this up with the UK Rail Ombudsman. It has been a very painful experience. I recommend that travelers do anything they can to avoid TPE -- fly, get a bus, ride a bike or even walk.

Long distance train operator about to introduce brand new trains on it's Scottish routes. Every 2hrs to Manchester Airport via Preston and hourly service to Liverpool via Newcastle and Leeds from Dec 2019.Introducing 3 brand new fleets 2019/2020 to better cope with passenger numbers.
