No.7 Borve, Self Catering, Holiday Home

A super base to explore all the key attractions on Skye. My family and I enjoyed our stay in this well equipped, comfortable, clean and contemporary house. Great WiFi which kept my teenagers happy too. Flora was friendly and helpful. We will be back.

What a wonderful stay! This house is spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable, with everything you need. We woke up every morning to look out the window at the foot of our bed to see sheep grazing on the rolling hills of SKYE. (One morning we went out to talk to a local sheep farmer who was herding his sheep in for transport to a warmer climate for the winter. We loved that glimpse into another life!) At the same time, you’re only a few minutes drive from Portree, not to mention SKYE bakery (great scones!). All the sites around SKYE are an easy drive as well; we were amazed at how centrally located it turned out to be! And Flora is just so nice: helpful, informative, but not intrusive in anyway. No 7 Borve was our favorite stay throughout our two weeks in Scotland. We felt lucky to find it!

We stayed at this fabulous cottage for a week at the end of August. I would highly recommend it. The location is stunning with fantastic views from the house. It's in a very peaceful setting, yet only ten minutes drive from Portree with all it's facilities. There are wonderful walks from the house - our favourite being up the hill behind the house.Inside the house it was spotless when we arrived. All rooms were spacious and everything was of very high quality. There were some lovely surprises on arrival that really added to our holiday experience - especially after our very long journey! I also really appreciated the little extras such as there being plenty of dishwasher tablets. laundry liquid, locally made soap, toilet rolls etc. So nice not having to buy these items.I've stayed at lots of holiday cottages over the years, and this one is definitely a firm favourite. We would love to return. Thank you so much to Flora for her hospitality.
