Well worth a second or third or more visit, after our first visit and returning home to Liverpool, on our next trip to wales to Porthmadog we drove to Gwalia just to have breakfast here again. Very pleasant staff.

Cheap and cheerful. Good basic food with a kids menu. Great when you want to grab a no nonsense bite to eat.

Beyond awful. Staff didn't seem to be able to keep up with who was coming in, even though when we arrived there were only about 5 tables with people at them, we waited 15 minutes for anybody to even take our order, which arrived 45 minutes after we first sat down (we only ordered drinks, 2 teacakes and a cake) The coffee was yuk and the decor was depressing. Never again. An hour's visit for coffee and cake.....

Gwalia is an institution. We used to buy pork pies here to take back home to Belgium. Their home-cooked ham is also to die for. Great place for a panedd or a coffee. Years ago I took my future wife here and we ordered a plate of cakes. She was so disappointed when I said we couldn't eat them all. Many happy memories.

Best bakery for many, many miles. The Pumpkin bread is the most delicious I have ever tasted and must win awards. The fruit loaf is packed with fruit and flavours. Delicious. You know it's really good when all the locals go there too.Delicious crempons ( pancakes )Superb scones.A variety of perfect Rolls and breads.Sometimes yesterday's bread's maybe availabile at a reduced price. Still excellent especially if gently rebaked / reheated.Friendly staff.Great value, large portion traditional cafe at the rear.Comforting, cosy setting and quality food.Evil, enticing , sumptuous , scrumptious cream cakes a' plenty.MWYNHAU !ENJOY.

Very basic food poor quality patchy service, its not that hard to cook poached eggs on toast but they even got that wrong partially cooked in middle over cooked on edges ie microwaved poached eggs. Sent it back it was revolting. Avoid at all costs your health is at risk eating here.

Lovely old fashioned bakery/café. Friendly staff great food my favourite is the pea and ham soup, great to pop in even for a coffee and cake, (the rainbow cake is the best cake going), eat in or take out either way the food and bread, cakes, everything is great, it's a must for my long walks grab a coffee and cake and continue. Great to catch up with friends and family it's a all round lovely cafe for all.

Always a pleasure to come home and go for cinio in Gwalia. If you ever visit, have the ham salad with coleslaw sandwich, my favourite. Diolch
