Lovely tea gardens set just off the main street in Dunster and accessed through a narrow alleyway, which opens out into a delightful little courtyard. I believe there was further seating available in another part, but I did not see this personally

Lovely little tearoom tucked away off the highstreet. Venture along a little passage to discover a charming little courtyard and dining area. They offer the usual fayre; but it's the location and history of the place that makes it warrant a visit.

Great tea room with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Pretty gardens and quaint court yard. The menu had a nice selection of hot and cold foods and drinks. Our party of 7 were having cream teas. There is a good selection of scones with tea or coffee. I had the cherry scone which was warm, fresh and delicious. The tea was plentiful enough for 3/4 cups. Service was prompt and staff very friendly and efficient. I would definitely revisit and recommend to others.

Lovely little tea room full of history. As it was a very wet January afternoon it wasn't busy But can be very busy in the summer. The choices for this afternoon tea are to long to mention, but I can say there should be something for everyone. The place is clean and tidy and our waitress was friendly and attentive without being over the top. All homemade cakes and scones and if my trousers could have taken the strain I would have loved to have tasted another slice so that will have to be done another day !Highly recommended and value for the money.

Nice, neat little tea garden you have to know is there or you would walk right by. It is sign posted but you would never know how lovely it is unless you went through the shop to the back area. People are friendly and the food was tasty. Well worth a trip in the country to go have a tea and scone. Thank you.

We visited this beautiful tea room after exploring Dunster Castle and it was the perfect way to end our day. My friend and I both ordered cream teas, her’s sweet and mine savoury. Both were wonderful! My blue cheese scone was the best I’ve had and the tea was refreshingly delicious. The service was also very helpful and friendly.

A recent visit to Dunster Castle brought us to discover this Victorian tea room and we vowed to return.Today was that day.I called ahead and booked at table for two. When we arrived, we entered through the back entrance that led out to the Nation Trust car park of Dunster Castle. Handy as I'm a member so parking was free. The immediate impression was that this place had character. A typical well kept English tea garden. Beautiful and full of life.We made our way through to the servery and announced our arrival.Luckily there was ample space for us to choose our seats, and we chose a table for two in the back garden, tucked nicely under the veranda of the main building. Very cosy, romantic and fresh. On this occasion we chose afternoon tea, and we weren't disappointed. The waitress dutifully took our choices for the sandwiches, cakes and scones, and of course drinks. (We chose the coffee option instead of tea)The menu was actually very good. It was clear, full of choice for all dietary options. A clear allergy reference was included. We didn't wait lthat ong, (the menu does explain that each dish is made to order so delivery may take a little longer. A nice touch as expectations are set, and disappointment avoided. Simple and effective) and our afternoon tea was served up and looked lovely.Tasty, fresh sandwiches. Fruity, flavoursome , moist cakes. Perfectly hard/soft scones, and a jam & clotted cream to match. No complaints here. All I'm all, a very nice experience and I would recommend a visit.Dog friendly too.
