Myself and some fellow anglers within our amateur association from North Wales are now in our 14th year of an annual three day fishing competition, and were excited to see that BAA 's website invites non-members to hire their Avon stretches for contests. The website does not specify a minimum amount of anglers, as long as a minimum of 15 pegs are paid for. However, John Williams seemed determined not to accommodate us despite us my very polite approach and willingness to pay for all 15 pegs and to use their smallest stretch of river. No reasonable explanation was given, and when I asked if John could suggest another option on the Avon he barked at me that he was not familiar with any other waters than BAA waters (which I find very hard to believe) then hung up on me. Very unpleasant experience which leaves me wondering whether a 'No Welsh People Allowed' caveat should be added to the BAA website.

The fishing you get for the money is outstanding, paid and recieved my permit very quickly. Peg are mostly maintained to an high standard and I have met some friendly people down the river.

I contacted them to report a vehicle that had been dumped in one of their pools, and a very rude and obnoxious man called John Williams, rather than thanking me for the information, spent the next 4hrs harassing me via email. He's literally stalking me now. Very unprofessional outfit.

Please fix your site, it’s impossible to pay for membership online

Phoned today asking about a day ticket to fish the river, was told they only do annual tickets, so I questioned as to why not day tickets as it will encourage people like me and my kids who want to give river fishing a go. I was told in so many words we ain't interested in day fishers we want annual only (bit greedy I thought) I said well wouldn't selling day tickets encourage more people to join in the future if they like it, I was told no and had phone put down on me. Very rude service, I'm surprised anyone joins with attitudes like that.

Anyone that knows that use Baa know that it's money well spent 40 pound for the amount of water available is outstanding....not sure how many times they have bank teams out but some waters could really do with looking at but they is only qualm some stretches take some walking but there's plenty where very little walking if any is required
