We will never return here, we booked as a big group of 5 families before arriving we asked if we could put up gazebos to be told yes! When we got there we was told no and that wasn't said, we had to clean our pitches before use as they was covered in dogs mess! Also was not made aware of paying for electric that was in debt so that took money off us before we started, total cost from Friday- Monday cost £700, the road gets flooded not good, complaints was put in about us and the children, the attitude from workers absolutely stinks, this site is not family or children friendly! We was also told on booking not to pay for the dogs as we was such a big group to then being bullied all weekend to pay for them!, also being bullied and accused of having extra cars when we did not, do not recommend

This is a caravan and motorhome site. Staff on site were great but the overall site was a bit tired. On arrival we had to unexpectedly and surprisingly had to pay for electricity on our pitch in addition to our nightly rental. Easy access to Porthcawl by car or walking(25min walk)

All I will start by saying is I wish I'd read the reviews on TripAdvisor before going! We booked a pitch for a tent and my van with 1 additional car, it is a campervan but said we'd be sleeping in the tent and it was just being used for going to the beach in. Owners were point blank refusing to let the van on site, saying we'd be sleeping in it, it was being classed as a campervan and said it had to be parked outside on the road or buy another pitch, which wasnt possible as they were full" (they said it was but i know it wasn't)

Just come back from Brodawell holiday park, we stayed in our motorhome . The manager was very helpful and helped to park the van in a tight pitch as it was meant for 18 foot long and mine was 19.6. Also helped us with the app for electric. Clean showers and toilets

We stayed during school holidays, so expected it to be more expensive- £40 per night plus extra for electricity and Wi-Fi. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the facilities left a lot to be desired. The pitches were extremely close to each other and the shower blocks were not good, no shower curtains and no dry place to store clothes when showering. There was no squeegee tor mop to remove excess water after showering. There was a well stocked shop for essentials. Would I stay there again? Sadly no.

Site was busy, but it IS the summer after all, so not a problem, staff are very friendly. We were enjoying our stay until I asked about our daughter and her husband joining us for an overnight stay in our unit, so they wouldn’t be taking up a pitch, just staying with us for one night as our guests! We were told it would be at an additional cost of £80! I questioned this, but was told yes, definitely £80! Upon telling my husband he said it wasn’t happening as they could stay in a hotel for less with breakfast included! We were so disgusted at the prospect of being charged such an outrageous amount we left a day early and WON’T ever return! Shame as we would use the site when visiting relatives!Upon our return home I looked up the costings , we paid £160 for a four night stay + extra for dog ( odd one as they don’t use the shower blocks or washing facilities ) and a small extra fee for the awning ( again odd, because according to the blurb, you pay for the pitch size so why an add on for an awning that is within the boundaries of the pitch!.) on a pitch that could accommodate up to 8 people, 2 adults in with the price of the pitch, then and extra £5 per additional adult per night! Not £80 for for an additional 2 people for one night!Utterly shocked by them trying to charge £80 for a one night stay in our already paid for pitch!Goodbye forever Brodawel camping and caravan park!
