The Bird In Hand
After living in the village for years, first time going back to the pub since renovation and what an amazing renovation they have done. The food was also amazing, very friendly attentive staff and busy for a random Thursday night which is also a good sign! I had the pie of the day which was delicious home made and generous portions. Other members of our party had the fish special which was presented amazingly and also got great feedback, and finally the chicken burger which was also very tasty. Dog friendly too.

Walking past popped in for lunch luckily one left very popular suggest booking on Sundays but had fantastic roast and nice ale highly recommended

Tastefully refurbished pub that is now a great restaurant with a pub-atmosphere. Smart, clean, relaxed, and dog-friendly too. The halibut special was superb and overall good value. The friendly team deliver a very good, professional service. Will be back to sample the renowned Sunday roast!

We were searching for a venue for a family reunion halfway between North Wales and Manchester and came across this fantastic venue in Google Maps. The reviews swung it for us. The premises were lovely, the food good and the service excellent. A really good choice!! Highly recommended!

The Bird In Hand
Went for Sunday roast - it was good but for the price we felt a little short changed on meat (we had the trio and had 1 small piece of beef & gammon, then lots of turkey). Everything was hot, well seasoned and well cooked. Service was excellent, but felt the atmosphere a little lacking. Choice of furniture and design made it feel a little more smart cafe than pub. But personal preference there. Overall a really nice experience.

We came back to the bird in hand for the Valentines set menu, it was hard to choose what to have as all of the options sounded so delicious! We were not disappointed with the food. All our three courses were delicious!The staff are so warm and friendly, the head chef Alex also came to say hello. Such a lovely atmosphere and the most amazing food!We can't wait to go back again!We even finished off with a very nice expresso martini.
