Seaton beach

A pleasant stroll along the promenade.

If you prefer sandy toes, take two stars off, but we love a pebble beach for the gentle whisper of the waves, and the ease of cleaning your shoes later. There's a lovely stretch to the western end with rockpools (when the tide is out) and crabs to play with. Seaton beach is less crowded than nearby Lyme, and easier to get to than (even more rocky) Charmouth. There are places to get good hot drinks, pubs, public toilets, shops and interesting places to visit nearby. Rubberised matting on the beach make it accessible to a wider range of people, and there are plenty of benches.
