Starters and wine were great, the rest was pretty good too! Would recommend this place, one of our favourite gastro pubs in the area!

Underrated bar in Kennington! Management/staff are responsive, accommodating and friendly. Great place to watch sports games. Good food specials too. Drinks are typical London prices. I’ve been a few times and will keep going.

‘ Welcomed' by man demanding we pay bill in advance as ‘we have a big party in'. A first for me – is this even legal? We both had burger and chips. Meat was burnt. Thick lettuce stalks in burgers were inedible. Most of the thin chilli mayo had already leaked out of burgers onto plate when served. Requested ketchup came in tiny pot, nowhere near enough for two. Chips were thin, undercooked and soggy. At just under £50 for two burgers with chips plus two pints this poorly prepared meal was ridiculously overpriced.A service charge of 12.5% was added automatically – for what, exactly? Not even service with a smile!

Had Sunday brunch ,the quality of the food was just not good , hash browns cold and greasy , very mean portion of bacon and “tomatoes” was just a slice .It also didn’t help there’s a mouldy / damp smell in the place.I’m sorry it’s a poor review , it’s a local business and I’d love to support it , we haven’t been since we had a poor dinner experience a few months ago , it’s a shame because it used to be pretty good .

Used to be our local pub for Tuesday quiz nights and revisited last night for a catch up with friends. Quiz was good. Service extremely slow. Was told not able to order food at bar, tried several times to get attention of waiting staff only to go to back the bar to request for someone to attend to take order. Additionally the waiter automatically adds 12.5% service charge and expects just a tap and done. Very awkward to ask for this to be removed and it should not be assumed. Not entirely sure what service was paid for. Fish and chips mediocre at best.

It was my friends' and my first experience coming to a pub but we decided we had to! Chose this place bc it was open late. The server was very nice explaining to us how pub culture is as we were terribly nervous. Had a good time and good food. The chef reopened the kitchen for dessert which was very incredibly kind. Would have gone again if we had time!

Great venue for comedy upstairs. Downstairs large area. Good bar. The only thing was a bit of a weird smell which to me smelled like a dirty mop. Damp. Ewww. Not conducive to eating.

Beautiful pub. On our first visit, we were made very welcome by the female bar tender. Less so by the guy behind the bar next time when we came to Always Be Comedy.

Quaint pub with great prices, friendly service and mostly importantly tasty homemade food. The fish cake special and the trout tartare there was to die for.For dessert I’d recommend the banoffee pie.Shout out to my lovely servers Maya, Hector and Chapi.Bonus points for the fab music playlist too.
