The Clifton Pavilion

Went to a ruby wedding anniversary event yesterday. Had vegetarian option. Food was tasty and very good, staff young, a few unexperienced but very keen to give a first class experience and honestly they did just that. I was impressed with the exoerience and would honestly say, ignore the reviews and go and enjoy the experience. We would definately go back. My friends had a winderfull anniversary event. I would say 4.6 exoerience and worth a good review.

Good venue; supportive staff and lots of parking

We where here for a Wedding Network Meet Up and the staff at the venue where amazing and so very helpful. The lunch buffet that we had was their new vegan menu there was so many different food dish to choose from so I had a little of everything and I must say that words can't explain the flavours that I had experienced in my month was absolutely delicious and as for the vegan chocolate mousse this was out of the world (could have easily had two helpings)

What a dreadful place. Went to a company party here. Plates were stone cold, staff refused to give the remaining food despite sixty people not having turner up (you weren't allowed a toasted halloumi for example if they saw you had non-veg) . The decor is drab and worse for wear. Complete waste of time and money to book here.

Here for a wedding and what a wonderful venue. The food wasn't quite what it could have been and I have never seen so many people happy to stand up (the chairs are terrible) but need to sit down when they find out the price of drinks. However, everything else was fantastic.

Nice venue. Pleasant staff. Only way upstairs is by very large stairlift and needed to use portable ramp (twice) to access the zoo. No staff offered assistance. Disappointing.

Went here for corporate meeting there is a lecture theatre on the 1st floor as well, it does look a little bit more tired than the photograph. You can look out into the zoo if you have a minute.

Wonderful day for celebration of Mission to Lepers. Delicious afternoon tea followed by excellent presentation in cinema like concert hall Beautiful view over flamingo enclosure.

I got married here in October this year! They really let me and my now husband down! The unorganisation and lack of communication ruined my special day! 10 days before my wedding I was rang by Jodie who informed me that we were unable to stay at the Bristol zoo for the night of our wedding as they double booked! I was obviously very upset by this. All they could offer me instead is a bog standard hotel room near to the zoo. Which I found unacceptable seeing as though the lodge which is part of the Bristol zoo is a appartment Many protests from me later and I got nowhere! I had a very stressful few days trying to find a suite for the night but as it was less than two weeks before my wedding in Bristol on a Saturday night it was difficult to find anything! This was the LAST thing I needed as a bride on the wee before my wedding! Jodie told me on many occasions that she’d call me back with updates on whether she could find anything better, but it was always me calling her. In the end I had no choice but to book a suite in the raddison and pay for it myself. The Clifton pavilion did pay towards it but not even half of the amount. They should of offered a suite straight away it was there mistake not mine!!!! I felt very let down by them and it ruined the run up to my wedding! Seating plans were sent to me days before the wedding to fill out and lots of paperwork which should of been done weeks prior to the event! They even charged me the wrong amount of money on my invoice! The whole experience has severely put me off! I was so excited when I first booked my wedding with them I thought it was the perfect venue but I would NOT recommed to anyone if they have to deal with Jodie. She’s a lovely girl but just can’t do her job properly!
