James was great looked after us well, event though we were severely delayed due to traffic. Food was great and decent value, priced about right I'd say. Using the meerkat discount was definitely a bonus!

We've visited a number of ember inns. This is the best one. The food came out just cooked and red hot. It looked and tasted superb. The service was spot on. Nice friendly staff. Well done. If there was one fault it's the toilets. The smell of damp was overpowered by air freshener.

It was our first visit as we've just moved into the community. The service was great, the food was tasty and value for money.When the other patrons realised we we're new, we we're made to feel very welcome.So we had a lovely afternoon thank you.

Very friendly staff,we were made to feel welcome. The food was delicious and good value for money and the open fire just added an extra bonus. Will definitely be coming back again.

Called here for a change and found the staff were very welcoming and a good choice of beers for me. The food arrived in an acceptable time and all 4 of us were happy with our fayre. I'm sure we will make the 20 odd mile journey to go here again.

Man behind the bar with tattoos and baggy t-shirt was quite rude to me as well as my daughter. Assumed the table I was on based on my skin colour as I am black. Not polite or welcoming at all! But would like to add the gentleman who served our food was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was lovely. Just ashame about the bar service

No salad, none! Not even a side salad....no lasagne, no tikka skewers. I was visiting with a friend and had to make three trips to the bar before I could finally order our food. It was very disappointing. The staff were lovely though and apologetic. We would visit again but perhaps not on a Tuesday when they obviously had sold out over the weekend and not had a replenishment.

Came in for lunch today should have got the vibe empty, ordered a roast trio and a mixed grill, the roast dinner 2as the worst I've ever come across raw carrots, broccoli parsnips meat was luke warm, couldn't eat!! Mixed grill bland, over cooked steak, waitress asked if meal was OK told her the vegetables were raw she asked if I wanted them replaced I said no can imagine I'd have to wait even longer and my husband would have finished, place needs refurbishment and I think some cooking skills needed.
