Charming pub with amazing views and nice decor. Loved the many pictures of the bay and the pub throughout the years.Had the chowder and squid rings for starter (both were wonderful), followed by the signature Cod & Lobster which was super tasty, but slightly smaller than expected (not a huge deal, just meant we had space for pudding!)There are seats outside, which we avoided because it was windy and cold, but I imagine it must be brilliant to sit there and eat while watching the bay.

A dog friendly seafood restaurant with brilliant food and the service to match. Parking can be a bit tricky, especially during peak hours. But nonetheless, the place was top-notch. I'd highly recommend the whitebait starter!

Excellent views, good service but gets very busy. Out-of-season this is a fantastic pub for good food and a drink overlooking the harbour of Staithes. In season the location is simply stunning, sat outside as the sun goes down with a glass of your favourite tipple is quite special. You may however need to wait a while for the food and drink as it will be very full and you may struggle to find a seat. Overall if you’re in Staithes, even when it’s busy, still the place to go for a drink and meal.

Had both lunch and an evening meal here on 14th September. Can't fault it. The service was friendly, the food was great and the location is idyllic. We had to wait for a table because it was busy, but we didn't have to wait long either for a table or the food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Cod and Lobster in Staithes, and what a gem it turned out to be!Tucked away in the quaint setting of the village, you can really feel the essence of its fishing heritage.Every bite tasted as fresh as the sea breeze outside. And the staff? They treated us like family.If you're ever in Staithes, do yourself a favor and drop by. It's one of those places that stays with you.Cheers to a wonderful experience!

Lovely place to sit and enjoy a nice cold beer after an amazing walk up on the Cleveland way walk. Beautiful views of Staithes harbour from the outdoor sesting area, dog friendly and so are the customers there.

Currently staying on holiday in Staithes with the family and had a meal last night at 'The Cod & Lobster'.I opted for the squid starter, lamb shank main and then the chocolate cheesecake for pudding.We were served by Ethan (I believe) who despite notifying us that he was new to the business was a brilliant server and had a good laugh with us all too, did have to laugh after we left as we witnessed him shooing off the pesky seagulls.All in all a wonderful experience and would happily return if in the area☺️

Pub is right on the harbor. A proper small pub, everything you would expect from a local pub. Dog and family friendly . We just popped in for fish, chips & mushy peas, squid rings and a crab sandwich. All was fresh and loads of it. The fish was so soft and flakey. Shows how fresh it was and served with lovely chip shop chips.The squid rings were not coated in batter and so tasted of squid. Definitely not rubbery or chewy.Lastly the crab sandwich. If I was to complain it was fully filled with fresh crab. Nothing but crab. Exactly as it should be. A 2 handed job to eat. No complaints. Stunning.Service was wonderful and all 3 staff were busy, smiley and polite. Could sell the service on its own.A real gem
