Excellent nature retreat in a busy city. Unfortunately, toilets have been closed due to vandalism so your visit could be cut short.

The boats were functional, but the water in the boating lake was utterly filthy.I had the impression that if someone fell in, they might develop immediate toxic shock. On the plus side, the staff were genuinely helpful. Even after a full day of noxious chav children, they still had a smile for their customers.

Its a nice lake by the University in easy reach of the tram, and woeth a visit. There is the lakeside where you can get a drink and archeology exhibition.

Picturesque lake on the University of Nottingham campus. Walking trails, playground, and beautiful scenery- perfect place for a Sunday afternoon.

Beautiful place. Huge area, beautiful wildlife. After the weekdays, it's good to recharge your batteries in such a beautiful, quiet place in nature.

Easy to get a boat. Turned up and managed to get two 4 men boats easily. Great time on the water enough space to fill up an hour

Could be a better place'to say they had 5million pound spent on it'it looks worse than before they started any work'and the council workers well where do I start'1 picks litter up for a few hours'1 sits jamming to music in his van'the lake is a total mess they should give the park to a private investor.the best part of the boating lake is the golf course.

The oars onbthe boat caused a problem. They aren't set up correctly and so bits inside the boat, where your hands are, knock together, meaning that it impossible to row correctly. Overall a good experience but poor oars made it more hard work than it needed to be.

Lovely lake for a stroll round, to kill abit if time while working at the uni. Had to stop work as the students taking exams didn't appreciate the noise. The lake is very well kept and has some fantastic architecture to admire whilst walking round. Wildlife all friendly and the baby geese and swans were all very tame. Potential for a boat ride if you want to too, all in all a decent lake!!
