Large garden, with swings and see-saw. Friend staff and good food. Very quiet at lunchtime so atmosphere hard to judge.

Terrible. Walked in, no greeting, bar smells of cigarettes and there was a big dog which we had to climb over and there was no word spoken to us. Had to walk through to see if there is some seating area as we wanted to have a meal for a special occasion. Nobody outside either. Had to walk back into the bar and ask the person behind the bar for some service but i was told that the kitchen is long closed and half laughed off as if my request to have a meal was absurd on a Sunday afternoon. Sign outside says food served all day" so this is why I assumed that it would be possible to have a meal. Massive advertising outside on this place and I pass it regularly and thought to give it a go as the reviews didn't look too bad. But unfortunately I was mistaken. If the kitchen is closed

Food was excellent. The gentleman behind the bar was on it and gave great service. We ate in the Garden, had swings and seesaw for the kids.

Salmon was old not fresh didn’t taste right the potatoes that came with this meal was hot in places and cold in the other . Second meal lamb shank was dry the mash was not butter mash like it said on the menu it was instant mash the peas tasted just defrosted ( run under the tap ) not cooked at all third meal sons spag bowl tbh he liked it I tried some it left a greasy film in my mouth tasted like tinned food

Had a great meal here last night. The salt and pepper squid, steak pie and cheesecake were all fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Fabulous country pub serving excellent food we went for the Sunday roast and was not disappointed. There was plenty of of it and lashings of the scrumptious gravy and a pudding to top it off. Would highly recommend, but book a table to avoid disappointment as it was busy.

Returned after many years and glad to see it still open. Very friendly landlord and we need more people visiting nice pubs like to stop them closing

The food and service was excellent. The menu had a varied choice. There was also a great selection of tapas style dishes that we will be back to try.A great find.
