Market Street

Market St., at the increasingly thriving centre of Lurgan, is surprisingly spacious, witha wide, pleasant pedestrian space, including seats, trees, at least one notable sculpture and some stalls during the week, down the middle of what was, as the name implies,a large Market! Great mix of shops etc, and several inexpensive places for that very necessary sit-down and cuppa! Really hope the much-missed Wee Paddy's" will reopen sometime at the end of the street. Not to mention several very good shops in side-streets just off the main thoroughfare.....Some handsome and interesting older buildings on and just off Market St to be checked out.Well worth a visit
