Halfords Autocentre Weymouth
Very disappointed today. Having booked my camper van in for a mot, and arrived early they then waited 45 minutes to say they couldn’t fit it on the ramp.Therefore they cancelled the mot, leaving my to fine another mot centre.Not helpful when the mot ran out!!!I’ll not be using them again.

Booked my mot online. Had a confirmation email, took the money and an error message in small print. Couldn’t help me in store and I had to ring up. Was assured on the phone that my mot was booked in and the confirmed the space was sorted. To find out late afternoon before the appointment, mine hasn’t been booked in at all

Booked in for a free clutch check and that was fine, new clutch needed so asked to bring back 9 days later to fit. No problem with that either. Got a call later afternoon the morning before drop off telling us they can’t do the job and to take it to Bournemouth or Yeovil. No offer of a rebook or to book into either of the other sites. We would of booked somewhere else if we had known as we really need the car this weekend and now don’t have use of it.Don’t usually leave reviews for things like this but feel like it’s unfair on the staff there to keep booking in jobs they can’t do and being overwhelmed by it (definitely got this sense from them during clutch check).Will book into a local mechanic next time straight away I think, just chose Halfords due to proximity and ease.

First and last time I’ll be using Halfords Autocentre Weymouth.My car failed its MOT due to a damaged front tyre which I fully support. At the time of collection Halfords offered to order replacement front tyres and I booked the car in for fitting and retest.Having booked the car in for tyres and MOT on an agreed date, upon arrival the tyres were not in stock.Due to work commitments I was unable to take the car back when they said the tyres would be in stock so my wife kindly offered. Having returned to Halfords for the 3rd time my wife left the car with Halfords and when returning noticed they had not fitted run flat tyres, which is what was removed from the car.Having highlighted this, the tyre fitter told my wife the car wasn’t fitted with run flats and that it’s not a problem to run a car without run flat. This clearly is not his decision and my wife had to show the tyre fitter ‘Run Flat’ stamped on the original tyres removed from the car.Halfords agreed to remove the incorrect tyres and re-order the correct tyres, run flats as per original fitment. Having returned to Halfords for the 4th time they install the correct tyres, complete the MOT and kindly damaged both front alloy wheel – which they obviously deny even through the marks are identical to both front wheels.Very disappointing and also worrying how they think they can manipulate female customers.

I would never recommend this place. I went today with a leaking tyre and was told Wednesday was the first time they would be able to look at it. The guy couldn't care less. I asked what happened if something was urgent (I only have an inflation kit rather than a spare as is the case with new cars sadly) and he just replied that there are other tyre repair companies in the area. How arrogant!I had a warranty and could only use certain tyre repair companies but he was really unhelpfulwent to Kwik fit and they couldn't have been more helpful.So if you need tyre repairs, go to Kwik fit and not Halfords!!

Jamie & his team are absolute superstars. I've not got a clue about cars. Went in for the dreaded MOT, sadly she failed 1st time. Jamie explained all in simple terms & what needed fixing. Luckily they managed to squeeze me in that day to fix it. Happily used the payment assist option which was quick to set up with zero interest. The MOT chap stayed on beyond his time to make sure I was road legal before heading off home. Great job guys will be using you again

Very efficient,quick service. The receptionist, Chloe was brilliant. She offered quick appointments, she rang back when she promised, she was friendly and communicated well.
