Schawpark Golf Course

Nice parkland course, wide fairways, but punishing rough around the periphery. IMO the key to this course is the second shot approach to the green Particularly nasty rough around some of the greens so if you get a bad bounce kiss goodbye to your ball as it disappears into lush, thick, Scottish greenery full of nettles and thistles. No warm up facilities apart from a rather tatty net and the putting green looked like a cow pasture on my visit. The main course was in good condition and the fairways and greens were well kept. I found the course long but fair although the gully in front of 17 is just stupid and serves no propose that I can see. 18 is a daunting way to finish the course. I'd play there again and suspect that having better knowledge of the layout would make play easier.

First time here for golf competition and the sencery was magic and the course is in fantastic condition and the greens where unbelievably. The Clubhouse and food was first class and service was good as well.I'll be back and why not.

Great design of golf course and a test of golf for the best if us.

Pro shop ideal, let me on as a guest at members guest rates and could play straight away. Had an amazing opening 9, 4 under for my handicap, back 9 not so good. Given 4 stars only because of the ignorant three ball that wouldn't let me play through after I caught them up at the 7th. Not the clubs fault but more education on preventing slow play and letting others play through should prevent this.

Good course and not overly priced, worth every penny.

Stunning views of the ochil hills and an award winning golf course. Lovely friendly club house where you can shower after your game,have something to eat and also has a bar and an upstairs function room which can cater for all occasions.
