Restaurant quality in a take away. Food was absolutely delicious, fresh, good mix of spice, hot but not overpowering, lots of chicken pieces and vegetarian option full of flavour. Delivery was quick, food was hot and person who delivered food was lovely too. Can't fault it at all

Had amazing dinner at The Cove two days in a row during our stay at Edinburgh. We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express City West and given that we had our parents on the trip, we were searching for a good Indian food place this part of town. We saw that The Cove is roughly half a mile away and decided to try it out.What strikes you first about The Cove is the nice and warm nature of the staff. Almost all of them hail from Bangladesh and given our family's connections to that part of Bengal, we bonded immediately. We were initially a bit skeptical about the food but it turned out to be a delicious meal and everyone on the table - my father (who prefers non vegetarian), myself (who prefers egg based meals) and my wife and son (who prefer vegan) liked whatever was served. The atmosphere was nice, warm and cosy and a brilliant setting as the light faded outside at the end of the day!To all Indians and Bangladeshis who visit Edinburgh, we would recommend The Cove. Of course, when we visit again, we will come back for sure!

Outstanding local Indian/Bangladeshi Restaurant. We were staying up the road at the Holiday Inn Express, they recommend the restaurant and what an excellent recommendation. Food was delicious, service outstanding and a very smartly decorated restaurant. Five stars from us.

Absolutely cracking place. Found it by accident, but we will be back!The food was fantastic, both the lamb and chicken were tender. Possibly the nicest onion bhaji I've ever eaten. The dishes were a good size.Service was really good, that right level of there when you need them, polite as you would expect but not crawly - spot on. Food came quickly, which is a bonus when you had a kid with little patience!Nice atmosphere, well maintained. Quite a few people in while we were there but didn't feel crowded or too noisy.All in, get in and have a fantastic meal!

Excellent food and services in this side of the town. We were staying at Courtyard E West and was concerned that we might not find decent restaurant … the Cove turned out to be an excellent choice.

We went there because it was the only restaurant in the area but we werepleasantly surprised. Food was high quality and tasted very good. Personnel was kind and helpful. I would highly recommend to try it.

We came from out of town. It was recommended by a guy in the street. As we were looking for food. it was beautiful tasty hot food, made as we waited in the car .bought out to us by the very helpful friendly staff. Would recommended to everyone.

Collected a takeaway, it was ready quickly and the staff were polite. The curry was bland, meat was dry, bread was hard and dense, the poppadoms tasted like they were from a packet. Everything was swimming in ghee. Edible and didn’t make us poorly, but not too far away from a jar sauce curry. Maybe the restaurant had an off night as the rest of the reviews look good but I wouldn’t recommend!
