The Bannatyne Spa

Lovely place to unwind with a jacuzzi. Steam room, sauna and pool. But price hikes with no improvement of facilities means £50 for 2 is not very affordable for a day 'off'. If you can afford it, it's great.

Another great day. We went on the morning so we could use the gym facilities then had a nice lunch in cafe within the health club.Used pool, jacuzzi ,steam room, sauna and relaxation room.Treatment in spa in the afternoon included in package was a back and neck massage which was great. Staff very professional but helpful. You don't have to use the gym facilities but suited us.

My friend and I had a spa day today. The treatments were relaxing however it did specify the three mini treatments we booked would be equal to 45 minutes each and they lasted just short of 30 which was a little misleading and disappointing.We were expecting more from a Bannatyne spa, there were tiles missing from the jacuzzi and black mould around the door frames and on the walls in the pool area. Some of the toilet and changing room doors didn't lock and the toilet was out of loo roll. The smell of chlorine was horrendously strog and left our eyes stinging we had to leave the pool area sooner than we would have liked.The staff in the cafe were absolutely lovely and the food was good.

Absolutely fabulous spa session with my husband. We both loved it all.

Too busy, Dirty and tired. We went for a spa day but only spent 20 min in the spa"Treatments were nice but the girls are clearly pushed to sell products rather than give people a relaxing treatment. Even the cafe was filthy.Definitely wouldn't revisit."

I called up asking about massages and offers. The lady did not have a clue. Did not know the baseline price, did not offer to check and told me to look online. I was out and thought I would squeeze a treatment in. Not great business intuition or helpful.

I thoroughly enjoyed my spa day at the Darlington Health Club. All the staff were so friendly, the treatment was delightful and the food and drinks were delicious and at a cheap price too. They have the place all decorated lovely. Will definitely be trying this place again.

Wow,what an amazing place.its huge.it has large parking area's with disability day next to the entrance,which has a slipped kerb and automatic doors. Inside is fully disability friendly inclusive of a lift to access floors. Well catered cafe which sells healthy foods and smoothie,protein shakes,juices and healthy menus. The shop is located in the same area which sell swim costumes goggles n other health gear. Towels gowns and flipflops can be hired at the entrance.The changing areas are well stocked for needs inclusive of showers hairdryer and seating areas at mirrors for styling and makeup,there is communal and individual changing rooms. Large lockers with lots of space and hangers in. There's everything in the spa area you'd expect and more.pool,sauna,steam room,hot tub,therapy rooms,relaxation room and a full sized well organised gym.staff are friendly yet professional and very helpful.very clean. On some floor there are office and meeting rooms. I couldnt fault it at all. I'll definitely go back again.
