After living in the UK for a year, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Pier 1 Fish & Grill, an exceptional seafood restaurant that stands out from the rest. One remarkable feature that sets it apart is their refreshing policy of not including a service charge on the bill – a rarity in this part of the world.From the moment we entered, the staff welcomed us with open arms and genuine smiles. Their super friendly and attentive service made our dining experience even more enjoyable.Now, the real star of the show - the delectable seafood dishes. We indulged in two scrumptious options: the fried haddock and the grilled scallops. Both dishes showcased the quality and freshness of the ingredients used. The haddock was cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside yet tender and flaky within. The grilled scallops were succulent, seared just right to maintain their delicate flavors.In summary, Pier 1 Fish & Grill Restaurant is an amazing place that left a lasting impression on us. If you're in the mood for a seafood feast with top-notch service, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.

My partner and I attended 16/07/2023 we didn’t realise how many flies were above our heads in the restaurant, they were on the ceiling inside the globe lights just above our heads. They were flying around us and even went into our food. We did speak to the lady serving us and she replied there was nothing they could do I did ask them to close the huge windows which they did sometime later as the restaurant was closing. We explained to the server we left some of the food due to a flies landing in our food, we were then spoken to another staff member with the bill who was extremely rude, her name is Jasmine and her mannerism towards us was absolutely unacceptable telling we should have known before we ordered the food their were flies, we only came to realise the restaurant was covered with flies after our food arrived. In order to try resolve the issue we asked the server to turn the light off, this still did not make a difference. We again stressed the issues of how many flies there are in the restaurant.The lady who was rude and abrupt with us continued to say we should have ate somewhere else if this is what Peir 1 refers to as good customer service from staff I am appalled. We settled the bill in full and told the staff to keep the change, good service would have been removing the items left on the table with flies on them to be minus from the bill instead we were told we should have gone somewhere else. I have never received such poor service at a restaurant and would not recommend anyone to eat at this restaurant, there are many good restaurants in Richmond with good customer service.The photos attached are the lights in the restaurant and those marks on the globe lights are files these are just two light but every globe lights plus ceiling lights were covered in flies. Not very hygienic as my partner was unwell this morning suffered from good poisoning.

The best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The batter wasn't too thick and the haddock was flaky and moist. The tempura battered chilli squid was also delicious

I had the pleasure of dining at this fish and chip restaurant and was truly impressed by the exceptional service provided by Brook. She went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of fantastic. Her attentive and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Not only was the service outstanding, but the food was also nothing less than amazing. The fish was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the chips were golden and delicious. Even for a takeaway experience, Brook's exceptional service at the fish and chip restaurant left a lasting impression. Her dedication to providing outstanding service, even for takeout orders, speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction. Despite not dining in, the food remained amazing, showcasing the restaurant's consistent quality. From start to finish, it's evident that Brook's attention to detail and friendly approach added immense value to your takeaway experience.

We made a trip out to Richmond for the Kew Gardens and ended up exploring the high street. We felt like having fish and chips for lunch - this place was highly rated on Google.Needless to say, it didn't disappoint! The service was excellent, and we had the sweetest waitress. The fish was well fried and also well grilled - my hubby got the fried fish and chips while I got the grilled cod and veggies. Both very tasty and satisfying!Would definitely recommend this place for fish and chips if you're out in Richmond!

Food fantastic, cod and chips, light and crispy batter, big flakes of cod when cut or put fork into fish, chips and crispy outside soft inside, neither were greasy at all, would happily go back. Decor is tidy, and everything OK, nothing to wow, but still nice, stopped by chance when passing and glad we did. Well done to staff, all polite, and looked happy to serve people.

I came here based on a recommendation. I normally do not like fish and chips because I spear fish for fresh fish and use a recipe by Alton Brown. Most fish and chips is just too oily.The fish and chips was excellent. I had a starter and dessert based on what was recommendation while looking over the menu. The halibut fried fish was delicious, crispy, yet soft and fresh.The salt and pepper squid and prawns was a nice start. The sticky pudding with toffee ice cream was warm, smooth and sweet.Staff was cordial. I had a chance to chat with Chef Billy who has a wonderful story. It is always nice to feel special, receiving a nice warm greeting and hello. Sad to say but rare in these busy days.

Amazing place that myself and my companion just happened upon. I thought, that because it was in Richmond it would be expensive and have small portions, but I was wrong. Huge fish with loads of chips and one of the best mugs of tea I've had out and all go a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit and I'll definitely be going back.

Place not very cozy the staff is nice but pity a little in the hygiene .Good place where you can eat very good fish and chips especially grilled fish .
