The best outfitter in town. Today I bought a superb linen suit which got the all-important seal of approval from Mrs B when I returned home. This shop sticks to what it does best and for quality suits and country wear you cannot find better. The staff in the shop are very efficient, friendly, and helpful too.I intend to return in the autumn when their sumptuous merino waistcoats are back in stock.My thanks and best wishes to all at Cordings.

I have been loyalty buying clothes from Cordings for over 30 years. I bought some polo shirt by mail order recently. What cheap tat! Their polo shirt used to be properly made in england from good cloth and double stitched at the shoulder. The new ones would be better marketed in a pound shop! Going to try Joseph Turner from now on

I had a wonderful shopping experience here. The store is gorgeous, so first impressions are very good. When I walked in I was guided to the ladies' section which can be reached by passing over a lovely little passageway. Looking up the stained glass round skylight is stunning, the wood paneling beautiful. It's just a gorgeous store. I noticed the ladies who worked there were immaculately turned out in store attire. I wanted good quality wellington boots, and indeed got a pair. I also bought two pairs of corduroy trousers, which I tried on in the changing room - a lovely little wood paneled cubby! The lady who assisted me was very knowledgeable about the products and extremely helpful in making sure I left with items I was happy with. She even gave me advice on purchasing a winter coat, which I chose to ignore and regret! She was absolutely correct. I will definitely be back. I wasn't looking for any other clothing, but was sorely tempted by all the fabulous quality materials and colours. I could live in Cordings' clothes and never shop anywhere else for my day wear! Very happy customer.One thing I will address, the negative reviews about the shop being intimidating or for a certain class" of people. I think all that's required is that you exhibit a little class when you walk in. Because yes the store does have standards which is no bad thing."

A beautiful shop infused with old world British character and some of the highest quality clothes I’ve seen anywhere in London. Came to buy flatcaps for myself and an in-law. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, patiently answering my questions, which was gratefully experienced by an American in such a high-end London shop.

This outfitters is the hight of Britishness, full of quality Harris tweed for ladies and gentlemen at reasonable prices. The shop is full of country attire displayed beautifully with in a traditional style store, The experience of stepping back in time in such a traditional and impressive store was absolutely lovely.

Absolutely brilliant men's clothes - fair value for excellent quality, John always kind and helpful to my husband, and a good laugh. Just wish the girls (ladies...) selection was bigger, but what they have is great, especially their own label. Classic, but not anodyne - pop in every month or so to see Maritzina, and whether they have another knock-out long jacket, lovely belt, or the elusive lightweight flannels we all need...

Top drawer retail experience. Great clothes, reasonably priced, but it was Anthony’s service that will bring us back. Warm, attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. We came for one tweed jacket, and left with three, two pairs of trousers and a pair of caps!

Terrible service in shop, as usual from Cordings - condescending and unhelpful atmosphere from the shop attendants generally, followed by failure to hem a trouser to the correct length and the need to make another visit. Incredible - the most basic of alteration. At this point, you have to wonder who really wants to shop at Cordings. I should be their core market and they could easily lock me in as a customer for the next few decades, but instead it so unpleasant.
