Harpers Hair Salon

Emmy has been doing my hair now for a couple of years after me switching a lot between other places before and never really finding someone who made my hair look and feel as good as Emmy does! The salon gives such a relaxed and friendly vibe which is a nice place to spend over 3 hours there as I have a huge head of foils on each time! I wouldn’t go anywhere else, thanks for being there :)

Just come back from my lovely slice of heaven hair appointment, My hair fairy godmother Emmy was as brilliant as ever. She is welcoming, friendly and her hair knowledge is second to none. When I first came to Emmy my hair was so damaged and thin. Now with Emmys care she’s made my hair healthy and the condition incredible. Also purchased some shampoo today from the salon which looking forward to using at home to boost the love and care that goes into my hair at the salon. See you soon Emmy!! Xx

I’ve been going to Harpers for a few years now and I’ve always loved my hair! Emmy is a great hairdresser and is always lovely to chat with. The salon is stylish and parking is just a short walk away, great place!

I started coming to Harpers in 2014 and booked in with Emmy who was a trainee then - I've been with her ever since!! Emmy is just amazing at what she does. She makes you feel at ease from the moment you walk in, is so lovely & friendly & keeps me topped up with coffee during my appointments. I always joke to her that I'm a rubbish girl as I never know what shade of blonde i want to go but Emmy is so brilliant that she just knows what will work & gets it perfectly right every time. I've never once walked out of the salon unhappy with what she's done. My two daughters also enjoy having their hair done by her. We've just moved abroad this summer and I will be booking in with Emmy as soon as I know when we'll be coming back to the UK for a visit! 5* for Harpers & their amazing staff!

Harriet was highly recommended to me by a work colleague and I am so pleased I found her! I am always greeted promptly, with a warm and friendly smile. Harriet is very personable and has a great memory of my likes/dislikes … even down to the strength of how I like my orange squash! She takes time at the start of every appointment to ask if my hair has been ok and I am always happy with the way she cuts and styles my hair. I wouldn’t go anywhere else .. keep up the good work Harriet!

Great salon. Had my hair done by various stylists over the years, and switched to Emmy when I started having balayage (she's amazing!) . I have thick, type 2a/b waves, so can find it hard to find a stylist that knows how to style it too. Always love the outcome, amazing patience and attention to detail.

I first started coming to Harpers in 2010 and recently returned to the salon after living out of area.After a disastrous short haircut in 2019 by another salon, i was anxious to allow anyone to cut my hair. Covid allowed me to grow out both the length and the over processed blonde.On my return I was booked in with Izzy and from the first appointment she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She settled me in with a gorgeous coffee and chatted to me about my goals and my concerns. After my first cut i allowed her to introduce balayage blonde as she prepared my hair for my wedding. Next week i’m taking the plunge and having highlights for the first time in 4 years. I feel like myself again!Harpers has a great atmosphere and is friendly and welcoming. I am 1 of 3 members of my family who love coming the salon and look forward to coming for many more years.

Sharing because of the awful troll review I’ve just seen on insta stories!I started coming to Harpers in April 2022 and will be going for many, many years to come. Emmy has always been polite, chatty and kind to me. Always offering a drink top up, asking if I’d like the heater or fan on when I’m hot or cold, even moving me upstairs where nobody else was sat when I was having a bad day one time. I have never, ever received such incredible, empathetic customer service elsewhere in my life and will never forget the care I received that day. I was made to feel like an actual human being, when so many other salons treat you like you’re just another customer that pays them money. I also love how Emmy does my hair (obviously). The advice she gives on products, too. Not too pushy with sales, just genuine recommendations on what will work and what won’t. That’s always nice in a salon.All the other ladies in the salon are friendly and welcoming, as well. I once attended an appointment with my little dog and he was thoroughly entertained and doted on by the staff. I would recommend anyone to Harpers. Unfortunately I live in Chesterfield so most people I know go more local but when my daughter is old enough she will be coming with me to Harpers so that’s one extra customer I can make sure enters their doors, and I know she will be welcomed with kind, friendly faces just like I always have been :-)Ignore the troll review, some idiots have very sad lives they have to leave fake reviews under different names to make them feel better for a few minutes. Cowards!
