Superb hot towel shave and haircut - barely felt it and smoothest I’ve had in years. Didn’t have my bank card on me but the owner was a nice guy - realised I was a local and was happy for me to come back with cash later.

Always a good trim from Alex and the boys! Would recommend to anyone

Sunday nightmare, are these genuine or paid reviews? I have had time to calm down and I am devastated. After extensively researching I went to Alex Barbers on Sunday 11th June at 2 o’clock. Thinking a rating of 4.9 with 127 reviews, it’s a decent barber? After 40 minutes torture in the chair, I left bursting into tears absolutely distraught after my disastrous experience. I was holding back tears in the shop, who wants to see an upset 34 year old crying? The ‘barber’ in the second chair from the window obliterated my beard! It was communicated very clearly what I wanted and I showed a previous picture. I went from having a beard of over an inch taken down to a couple of millilitres. The gentleman in the third chair from the window took over as I was literally welling up and looked distressed. I appreciate the gesture of goodwill for the complimentary service, but I will NEVER be back!

Honestly these must be paid reviews. The guy makes such a fake effort to be friendly but really he doesn’t care about the results which is the only thing primarily required from him. I made a terrible mistake of choosing a hot towel shave and he didn’t have any clue how to a good job and absolutely was not gentle at all. Waste of time and money.

Best Barbers around by far, even better than Angelos who I have also used. Very welcoming and people are aways commenting on how good both my sons hair look. My younger son loves the owner Alex and will not let anyone else cut his hair. I could not highly recommend enough!
