Great pub with a lovely sunny beer garden. Plenty of outdoor seating & space inside as well. The interior ceiling is covered with beer mats from all different countries and companies, which adds a really nice homey touch and it's fun to spot your favourites. They have an extensive selection of beers & other drinks for a fair price. Definitely a great place to spend time having a drink during the sunny days!

Another pub affected by the please be quiet in the garden otherwise we'll get noise complaints" and "no glasses outside" disease.I appreciate it isn't the pub's fault

Great selection of drinks, often have local brews to try. Massive pub garden. Unique atmosphere and always very friendly staff. One of my favourite pubs in Oxford.

I like this place and appeared to be very popular with their young local customers. The friendly bartender immediately helped me with my elderly wheelchair bound mother. The furnishings inside were very old and added to the atmosphere. The beautiful beer garden at the back just added to the entire experience.

Lovely cosy pub with a seriously good range of craft beers on tap! They have a food van out back which I didn’t try but my friends all enjoyed their food.

I like the star. Great service and atmosphere. No food to speak of but a good selection of bar snacks. It's generally always busy but a nice relaxed place to sit and chill. Really nice garden with covered seating area. My only complaint is that the majority of the beers are high hopped hipster craft beers with the odd exception.

Lucky to consider this our local for a few months, great beer, great staff and my kind of atmosphere. If you’re lucky to visit in the summer (and not too late in the day for the complaints of the neighbours) there’s a great beer garden too

The Star PubOxford is cool and hip local pub , a pub which has a really good selection of lager and ales , with regular guest ales, which is a good thing to see, all at alright okay price points for an Oxford pub, he definitely a pub to visit when you are in Oxford, with a lively atmosphere and homely comfort feel, a pub which you can definitely hang out with friends and relax at, tucked away from Cowley Road definitely a pub that should be on your list if you are visiting Oxford.

Fantastic live music and some lovely real ale. Only the slightly lacking loos kept it from 5 stars but don't let that put you off, it's a great pub.
