ON-TIME, ON-BUDGET AND DEFINITELY WOW!We’d been putting off our kitchen redesign for a long time, dreading the prospect of managing the project and co-ordinating the work of different tradespeople. Then we found Owen and Adam from S & C Unique Wood Solutions.From concept to completion, Owen and Adam managed it all. After several meetings to discuss ideas, they came up with a plan, a price and they stuck to it.Our previous experience of installing a kitchen was choosing something off-the-shelf and then finding someone to install it. S & C showed us that we didn’t need something from a kitchen showroom, they could hand-build and install exactly the right kitchen for us.Once the date was agreed everything happened on time, creating unique kitchen units by hand to our exact specifications, carefully co-ordinating the different trades needed for brickwork, plastering, plumbing and electrical. They assembled an amazing team of tradespeople who turned up on-time while keeping disruption and mess to a minimum.The attention to detail was incredible, right down to creating the perfect cutlery drawer for our favourite knives and utensils.They were professional but also fun to have around. We kind of missed them when they’d finished.Would we recommend them? I think you know the answer to that question. We’ve already signed them up to for some additional work using their incredible carpentry skills.We’re just adding a few of our own touches and once done, we’ll post some more pictures of our amazing new kitchen-diner remodel from S & C Unique Wood Solutions.

We had taken ages deciding on what we wanted to replace our 30 year old kitchen. We worked up a long list of things we wanted (Howdens off the shelf with a fair bit of bespoke/modification) including a number of ancillary jobs such as a new fuse box and matching replacement floor in the downstairs toilet. Owen visited twice, he understood all our requirements and made some great suggestions to improve the end result. We also had a visit to their workshop to look at a few options in situ.Owen and Adam were great from Day 1. There was a minimum of fuss as our old kitchen was completely gutted. They also had to fit into the plan a complete floor replacement as our old floor had suffered a bit over the years.All the trades ...plastering, electrics, decorating…were sorted out by the team, and they were all really nice people who did a great job. We were often out of the house and able to leave Owen and Adam to arrange everything.The kitchen was fitted and we thought it looked wonderful. This included a bespoke solution for our larder under the stairs which has been transformed. They did some lovely floating shelves in the kitchen and some nice modifications to Howdens standard configuration in some of the cupboards. They also opened up one of the walls to provide more space and better support to the centre isle.There were a few supplier problems on the way, with lack of stock and wrong bits being delivered. Howdens also couldn’t supply one part they had offered in the original design but that was all solved without us having to do anything. There was a delay on the delivery of the handles which meant we had a lovely finished kitchen except for a dozen or so handles which were stuck in Germany. A clever temporary solution meant we could still use the cupboards until it was sorted however.We did purchase our own appliances which Owen and Adam fitted, despite Adam not being totally happy that the cooker and microwave were different makes! He is a perfectionist.Throughout the whole process, Rachel kept us informed of progress. Owen and Adam always involved us in any necessary decision making. We always knew what was being done each day and the job was completed in excellent timescales despite the handles issue!All in all, they did a fantastic job and we are so pleased with our new kitchen (and bathroom floor). We would certainly use them again.

We are absolutely delighted with the bespoke study that Owen and Adam have made for us. We had been wanting to do something for ages and had had several quotes for off the shelf units but no one had come up with anything very creative or interesting. Right from the start, the team at S&C Unique Wood Solutions really impressed us with their personal, and consultative approach. They helped with creative ideas, provided samples of colour options, wood finishes, door furniture, door styles etc which really helped us to visualise the finished look. We were kept informed at every stage of the build with updates and photos and nothing was ever too much trouble. They were punctual, trustworthy and our study is now the nicest, most characterful room in our house. We were delighted that we chose them and are now using them for another project.

Great service from Owen to initially complete some ad hoc work in my house - some repairs to flooring / leaking. I then asked him to look at the bathroom which was in need of more extensive work and this has now been completed to a high standard.Rachel who works as the office support to Owen was fantastic, always keeping me updated and sending pictures of the work done (property is rented out).Work was always done on time and as agreed.

We used S&C for bespoke utility room units. They had some great ideas for some of my more outlandish requests - a pull-out shelf for folding laundry, and a hole for my cat flap - and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and have already asked about the next project.

After some looking around we decided to use Unique Wood Solutions to design, make and install a 3.5M long book case with cupboards and so glad we did. The customer service was great, nothing was too much trouble for the team who provided colour charts, swatches, design drawings etc. The workmanship and quality of the final product is fantastic, absolutely faultless with incredible attention to detail, just what we were looking for. We have just had a new kitchen fitted by S & C Unique Wood Solutions Ltd and we are over the moon with it . Owen , Adam and Rach have been very professional throughout the process . Included us in everything , kept us updated , all appointments made were kept and on time , nothing was too much trouble . All this meant the stress was taken out of our hands .Adam and Owen were a pleasure to have around , friendly and chatty and left the kitchen each day as tidy and clean as was possible . From start to finish, these guys are so professional and polite.i had new doors made for my kitchen units. They were made to a very high standard and in great time. Owen then fitted them and the furniture. As a tradesman myself, id highly recommend these guys work. 10 out 10 from me.
