Staff are lovely, food was grim. Burger so over cooked it was crunchy, and so cold the cheese didn’t melt. I left a third of it. When I paid I brought it up, but staff member didn’t seem to understand and just kept thanking me. It was awkward and I cut n run.

I bought a packet of small chips I couldn't bear even a single one of it.Its awful! The chips had stale oil smell its not edible at all!

I love wimpy. We grew up in wimpy. Dinner every Saturday before mum took us shopping. I live in South Yorkshire now and can't find one here, so when I visit down south, I have to go there. It has never changed. Love it

Fast and friendly service. Food freshly cooked and served to you hot on a plate with a knife and fork. Staff always friendly to my little boy who loves coming here.

It's been a while since I've been to Wimpy, about 2 years. First time at this particular location though. It's amazing how the burgers still have that classic taste from my childhood from about 20 years ago. For this location I had a cheeseburger and with chips (chips cost extra). Clean restaurant, the condiments are all on the table and they ask if you need any others, I think my friend asked for BBQ sauce or something else and the polite and helpful staff had that.Food consistency and quantity is nice for the price and I had a strawberry milkshake which is by far one of my most favourites out of most other different restaurants. Quick service. Decent space with enough seats for the location. The only downside as to why this place hasn't got full stars is that Table no. 3 was badly wobbly, couldn't put any pressure on it while trying to cut food or lean on it.

Good service from a young waiter, and nice food. But,terrible shame about the girl who took our money at checkout! We heard her constantly giggling at the guys behind the service counter all the time, joking all the way through our meal, but when we paid her.....her face never cracked a smile. Even after we put money in the tip jar! Rude!!Not even a thank you.I personally think that her attitude needs adjusting, and it may be better in the long term to let her wash up some pots in the kitchen behind the scene, that's is my advice to the manager. Her ego needs sorting out.Maybe the Wimpy wasn't her choice of career, but the first rule of customer service is ',Smile' and say 'thank you' to the customers who pay your wages.I was a manager in a restaurant for many years so I know what I'm talking about.There are many youngsters who would be glad to do this job.We were frequent visitors here, but after that display of rudeness, we'll take our business elsewhere!!We'll not be back here if that's who the Wimpy thinks is good for their business. Get a decent happy person on the till.. not grumpy GertRUDE!

Let me start by saying the food was actually pretty decent (although ridiculously expensive for what it was), the restaurant itself is old and tatty, the seats were all ripped and it really smelt like used cat litter, wasn’t a particularly pleasant experience. Toilets were also out of action which was rather inconvenient.

A very nice and clean wimpy with the older interior style which was a nostalgic throwback.Very friendly staff greeted us and showed us to our table, the food arrived quickly and was hot and tasty. Very happy with my experience today at this wimpy. Just a shame there aren’t many of them around the country left.

Visited Lakeside Wimpy many times, always enjoyable and staff are friendly, and looks after you. Nice and relaxing.Food is nice. The booth seating could do with a refurbish.

I love going to wimpy but this visit was extremely busy and the staff were rushed off their feet.
