Always go to Chards for my timber and building materials and find the staff very helpful with great sense of humour, and great prices! Luke has been brilliant and if they sold curtains I would get them there too!

Great products however...Communication with customers is poor.Delivery was 2 days late, arrived in the wrong vehicle and not once did they contact me to tell me it was delayed.If you want good customer service go elsewhere.

Great company, I ordered 2 bulk bags of chard flint. They were so helpful and let me choose my own delivery day and time, and they turned up on time, very cheery driver! Great service, thank you!

In response to the owners I'm going to remove my negative review, and alter to neutral, as I've not been in since their change of ownership so can't currently comment on the level of friendliness or attentiveness of the staff. If I do manage to visit them again I'll be sure to update my review.Cheers

I have used Chards recently and have nothing but good things to say. Customer service from all departments was exceptional. From ordering at the counter to taking delivery from the skillful (and careful) driver. Products were exactly as ordered and had no issues. Prices were reasonable and I managed to get everything I wanted in one place. I would mach rather support a local independent supplier.Keep up the good work !!

Literally the most unhelpful bloke behind the counter.I’ve edited this as I wanted to say the service from the guy in the yard was brilliant. The guy behind the counter however was rude, sarcastic, arrogant and incredibly unhelpful as other reviewers here have also pointed out. We won’t be back.
