Topps Tiles Nottingham Lady Bay

Our first and only place of choice for tiles. Staff were extremely helpful. Kev answered all our queries and helped us choose a fantastic product, nothing was too much trouble, excellent service, product and all at a great price. We will be back once we start our next project.

Very unpleasant experience!! Unfriendly, unhelpful member of staff, who glared with a 'what are you doing here' expression from the moment we entered through the door. We both wore masks, are quiet friendly polite people, but her snipey tone of voice, followed us round the shop, it felt as though our presence as shoppers was a serious inconvenience! It was as though she hated us, defensive vibes heading to all, while another customer trying to bring some tiles back got the same treatment. I really do not know the cause, not helped by a rediculous system of barriers placed between the check out desk and the customer paying area, the barriers are huge tubs, and a series of rules, barked out, which we got wrong, but were not clear or signposted, while its v difficult to reach across the barrier to place, pay or pick up, purchased items - without friendly co operation, from staff towards the customer it's unworkable. No paper, cardboard or anything else available to be able to wrap up tile samples to protect the sharp edge from hands. I did not need a large plastic bag for 4 small samples just something like a bit of bubble wrap, tissue or something, to protect my hands from the edges. But again, a sharp bark 'no we don't have any', while the barriers made it extra difficult to hold the tiles, and get out my card to pay - basic stuff is mismangaged here. When we left, we felt stressed, as the whole experience was really unpleasant.

Purchased some fantastic marble wall tiles from them. I was short by a few and they had them in stock for same day collection.Staff were very nice.

Placed a large order for some tiles today, and Charlie (the deputy manager) was very friendly, and a pleasure to deal with.

Greeted by staff upon entering the store, really helpful and seemed knowledgeable. All staff spoke to me and were pleasant and friendly. Have purchased samples and if suitable, would definitely choose this particular store to return to because of how friendly all the staff were.

We looked here and at Tile Giant just around the corner. Our favourite tiles were at Topps but on top of that the staff were much more helpful and knowledgeable. Bought them from there and ended up going back a few times to exchange / get more stuff. Always very friendly and helpful.

Visited the store as we are attempting to retile our downstairs bathroom for the first time so had lots of questions. Matt could not have been more helpful, was very patient with my partner and I and made sure we had everything we needed. Excellent customer service!
