This company installed a 166 panel 48Kwh solar PV array for us at The Lake District Coast Aquarium, Maryport, in March 2019. After 4.5 years this has now paid for itself, not least because the whole design and installation was first rate. Any problems, and they were vanishingly rare, were dealt with promptly. Great people to do business with.

Simon and his team were amazing. They stuck to deadline and were extremely professional and quick to install my solar system and car charger. They were well priced and provided some stunning panels to fit with the roof.Would recommend if you are looking to get solar panel installation.

I wanted to use a local solar system installer rather than a National company both to support local companies and hopefully to get a better service as local firms need to protect their reputation. Clare dealt quickly with all the initial correspondence including the G99 submission. A date was agreed and the installation went ahead as planned. The scaffolding and delivery of the equipment was arranged by SJD a few days before the installation. The installation was completed in a day without any issues with the system up and running at the end of the day. All in all a job well done and I would definitely recommend them to others.

My comments above are unchanged, and I now have six months experience of the system operating. October to March. Electricity bills slashed and good support from Simon and Clare as I gained experience about how to get the best out of it.

Being deaf, I *email* companies, rather than telephone them, when asking for quotes for work… – and the majority either take ages to respond, or (more commonly) my message disappears into a black hole. Not so with SJD. My initial email was responded to almost immediately: as were subsequent messages sent before work commenced.Out of a final pair of contractors, this was one of the main reasons I chose them. It also helped that their replies were knowledgeable, informative, and that rare mix of professional and friendly… – qualities that were reflected in the work carried out: the installation of eight solar panels, an inverter, and two batteries for storage.To be blunt, Simon and his team were amazing: and carried out the work in very cold weather without complaint, but with humour, a huge amount of effort, expertise by the bucketful, massive determination, and a brilliant knack for problem-solving. From start to finish, their experience and positive attitude were obvious; and, four days later, I am already generating sufficient electricity to be ‘off-grid’, as well as to charge those hefty batteries.I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a contractor with such a great ethos. Simon is a brilliant boss, leading by example; and his wonderful team (including the agile Rhy and Toby) therefore flourish under his management. But, for me, they would be nothing without Clare, back at base, patiently answering my constant barrage of questions. (Simon may have been installing solar power for a decade or so; but this is my first time… – and almost certainly my last! And I knew nothing. I was never patronized once, though.)If you’re in Cumbria, and looking for someone to carry out electrical work – especially if you want solar power installing – look no further: I am sure you will be as pleasantly amazed as I was!

Simon & his installation team fitted a solar panel array & battery system to our house. They provided a full service including scaffolding, roofing, insulation, and making good.
