Arcadia Spa

I don’t feel great about reviewing Arcadia Spa. The owner is lovely hard working lady, but I feel like it’s fair to leave true feedback.On arrival there is no staff at the reception. Everyone signs the form, takes towel and go to enjoy themselves into the jacuzzi, in outdoor swimming pool or chill by inside pool and sauna. All 3 facilities are very pleasant. I booked a back and legs massage. It was pleasant but I felt like there was not enough education. I have tried many massages but here I felt like it was very basic, not enough pressure and where was the pressure it was in wrong areas. Or even worse in areas where was the problem but treated wrong way. This lady was constantly painfully cracking knots on my shoulder blades, against the muscle growth. It caused me pain for next 4 days. Where I was expecting some pressure was my legs. And there was none. It felt like pleasant strokes, instead of massage which should move the blood around. I was disappointed.

Although the massage was good, and the spa staff were pleasant, it was everything else let down the spa day. The gents changing room and toilets were very unclean, the facilities are outdated, the relaxation room" with its crumbling paint and rusting mirror wall was like an empty business hall with a few loungers thrown in. BUT worst of all the afternoon tea was ran by disorganised and disinterested teenagers

Great spa day , lovely treatments . Good facilities, felt like we were on holiday led by the pool !!

Spa needs some TLC but the warmth and relaxation 80 min treatment was just what I needed, even fell asleep towards the end whilst having my facial. Amy was lovely. Downside had to go upstairs to main bar in robe to get food and drinks, shame can’t bring down to spa as would of felt more relaxed. 3* for facilities and 5* for treatments

Brilliant deep tissue massage for me and Michelle was fantastic with my wife who has a condition that meant she couldn't have a full body massage but Michelle explained everything in detail and offered great alternatives. Brilliant service and thoroughly recommend.

I’m a regular at this spa.Excellent treatments with professional therapists.Very reasonably priced and use of spa facilities included in the price.Get booked in you won’t be disappointed.

We had a lovely girls pamper day here and each had a couple treatments. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and nothing was too much trouble to make sure I was comfortable. We enjoyed the other facilities and then had a nice lunch on the balcony. Worth the cost and we are already discussing our next visit. Extra thanks to our spa lady and to the pool attendant who was on her own this morning, she was running around so busy but stayed happy and polite and lovely. Thanks for having us!

We booked the Autumnal retreat and used the facilities before and after. Sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi. The treatments were brilliant. The therapist was very welcoming, listened and carried out the best relaxing service. No complaints at all. We've booked again to come the beginning of December.

Went for a pamper experience and afternoon tea with a friend. The food was delish but it seemed they forgot that we were there. When it was time to use the spa facilities, they were dirty and dingy. The attendant wouldn't give us robes even though we were spa customers. The massages and facials were the best part of the experience. I would defo go just for them :D but there are better spa experiences in Bournemouth
