Nails by Steve Fakenham

I had Acrylic nails done this morning which turned out very nice apart from my fingers throbbing for a few hours afterwards.However the customer service wasn’t what u would expect from a nail bar. The lady that was doing my nails kept stopping in the middle of doing my nails to text whoever was on her phone.There was no cleaning of the equipment and the employees did not wash their hands once. The table we were at was really dirty from the moment I got in there and it wasn’t cleaned before she started working on my nails.I know their big window doesn’t open but they really should have left the door open at least as it was warm out and as soon as I walked through that door the smell of chemicals from the nails equipment hit me hard. As someone who doesn’t sit in a nail salon all day every day I can tell u this is not healthy to be breathing in fumes that strong. They need to get a window they can open or leave the door open or something! I felt light headed sitting there.

London prices but not standards it’s not as good as it used to be. My wife has been going to Steve’s for years now and always been delighted by his professionalism, service and attention. However since Steve opened a second nail bar in Holt and since Steve has been mainly based himself at Holt the service at the Fakenham branch has plummeted. My wife had an appointment there today and the young man who done her nails didn’t do a good job, worse he wearing EarPods and on his phone most of the time - his mind really wasn’t on doing his job too busy chatting to who ever was on the other end of the phone to care about the customer in front of him not a pleasant experience. I tried speak to Steve this afternoon at the Holt branch but got no reply. In future unless it’s Steve doing her nails she will go elsewhere.

The work is appalling - their hygiene is non-existant.Last I was in there a lady’s finger was bleeding over the table due to poor standard of work - they’d cut into her thumb - and they didn’t even clean up the mess, wash their hands or disinfected the equipment. I felt absolutely sick.My mother’s nails were absolutely ruined and Steve/his possé of under trained workers were of no help whatsoever.Disgusted by the level of service. DO NOT GO HERE. SCAM. The ladies don’t seem to care if Steve isn’t there.AVOID. I hope Steve sorts this out.

I have been going to Steve’s since he opened. I also agree with a previous review unfortunately. The young lady was wearing ear pods and talking to somebody the whole time on a video call , it is now unfriendly and unprofessional since Steve has moved to Holt. 2 Customers walked in wanting to book a pedicure for another day, the young couple do not understand enough English to realise what they wanted to do hence they clearly walked out confused. This is not the first time I have witnessed this. Unless I go to Steve at Holt I will find someone else to do my nails now.

Amazing nail salon - will definitely become my regular! Lovely staff and friendly atmosphere. Never loved my nails so much!!
