Closed today 28th November. Notice on door says alternative banking available in Wokingham or Basingstoke. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

❗️To all customers and for them going into Reading. DATA BREACH THATS BEEN HAPPENING AND STILL MAY BE GOING ON I'm not a Karen I'm just a member of the public looking out for you. I was a member of this bank and now I'm NOT. Reading has big plan glass window that anyone can see in. The staff have their laptops facing towards the windows when loads of people walk past as it is public.I went in and spoke to the manager and told her but she was not interested she was rude. This has now been raised further up the pipelin⚠️ come on sort this out

June 2023 update. Unbelievably it's even worse now. Machines don't work. Skeleton staff only so count on up to an hour queuing. Also note...FIRST DIRECT cards do not work here any more for deposits (despite it being an HSBC company, and where exactly are you supposed to go???). Keep your sanity and bank elsewhere........ Despite closing for a month for refurbishment this branch has really dug a hole I didn't think possible. Machines never work. Deliriously understaffed, queues around the building. It's seriously the worst experience possible. Barely functional...budget for at least 30 minutes to do anything here. Awful

Easy access on the high street in a prime location with shops all around. Perfect spot in all honesty.

I spent 45min in a qué to see customer services, unfortunately had to give up as the low staff level was evident the bank whilst closing branches has not invested in more customer services staff. There were elderly, the staff appeared to struggling with customer queries perhaps more training is required.

Counter service is always so slow, you need to bring back a counter just for business customers. The queue of customers also isn't managed properly, most customers can probably use the machines downstairs if guided properly by a member of the team. Instead there are about 6 members of staff waiting around downstairs on their tabelts with only 2 people on counters. This bank is poorly managed and should do better, this is an issue week on week.

I had a wonderful support from this branch and special thanks to Mr.Mir who had helped me very patiently and was very customer service oriented. He had answered my all queries and try to help me to get my account sorted. His efforts are much appreciated.

Went to get some assistance with an old account and the young man who helped me gave me really useful advice about how to go about things. He made what could have been a complicated and stressful procedure much easier.

Absolutely useless went in on April 3rd to open a bank account for my daughter who's 14 was told it would take 5 working days but may be a little longer due to Easter fair enough! Still waiting have called 3 times seem to get someone in Delhi ?? Was given a reference number the first time told to call back In A week if still no card. Guess what still no card gave the reference number no record if the application someone would call me back still waiting!! Poor service to say the very least!!Guess
