I Travelled a long way and they didn't have what I wanted, after phoning ahead of the visit and was told they did.On the plus side it's like an aladins cave for patchworkers

Delightful shop selling absolutely everything you could need. Not much of a fan of sewing, but regularly pop in for odd bits of fabric, lovely motifs, buttons, scissors, ribbon etc. Really helpful owner. Well worth a visit to be inspired.

Every time I have gone into the scissor stitch shop (it's not just any old shop, in my view it's like a quaint emporium for sewing and knitting enthusiasts and with its backdrop set in Worcestershire).I have had excellent service through an almost 3 year period now.I don't know how Barbara the scissor stitch owner does it, as she works very hard to ensure her shop is fully stocked.Barbara's keen fashion promotes European and South American artisan range of wools, yarns and skeins are too die for.Her African textiles and batiks that she stocks in the shop confirms her unique experience and knowledge of traditional West African textile design. The experience for me is like a female grown up version of Willie Wonkers Chocolate Factory, and I like to think I'm first in line for all these lovely goodies.I travel all the way down from the North-west, which quite often takes around 5 hours. I am always greeted as a family member.I look forward to my next trip, with lots of interesting yarns, laughter and discussion.Thank you Barbara

Wonderful little place, which has provided masks through pandemic. Nothing is too much trouble. Went in today to collect bespoke mask. We had a good chat as I asked questions about supplying wedding dress material. This owner cares about her customers getting the right service as well as the right materials. Would recommend visiting and if you need advice owner is more than willing to help you. Thank you.

This is a great little shopFull of beautiful fabrics, pre cut fat quarters, a lovely selection of wools and lots more. But what makes the shop is Barbara, she will help you match fabrics, give you advice and suggestions for projects. Such a nice friendly place to shop. And in this time of Covid is making excellent face masks!

A lovely traditional fabric store. Excellent quality cottons - perfect for quilting and patchwork. Other places may have cheaper fabric, but it is likely to be of poorer quality with a much lower thread per inch count. The shop owner is friendly and knowledgable and always good for advice.

Having read the reviews I really expected great things when I recently purchased a Peter Rabbit quilt kit. Unfortunately I have been very disappointed. The quilt kit took a long time to arrive and when it did there were no instructions. As it had been advertised as a beginner's kit I expected instructions. I tried for about two weeks to make contact without success until eventually my call was answered by a lady who said she was the owner of the shop. She said there has been problems with the phone . Fair enough, so I explained the lack of instructions and she said she would send them. A week later, when nothing had arrived I phoned again. No apology but I was told the instructions would arrive. Another week later, they arrived and quite frankly they weren't worth the wait. I could not follow them. I decided then that I would just find somone online to make it for me. The person in question sent me a picture of the fabric pieces and at least 6 pieces were missing . Fortunately she said she could find other suitable material. She said the quality of the cutting was awful and so were the instructions.Needless to say I will not be buying anything from this business in the future.Overpriced, poor quality and customer service. But perhaps they were just having a bad day...
