Perfect summer rainy day, great food prices, love the fact I could park right next to the hurdle, wow.. Kids really enjoyed it, they say its about the winning, had 2 winners all day... Still a great way to lose money too and smile at the end of the day

i got ran over by a golf cart, it hurt. However, i carried on with my day and out of no where a pink ghoul trooper full pieced me and gave me a slap with a gold spas. again, it hurt. after all that, i had some lovely coffee with my pet squirrel sandy and headed on home. Not bad!

We have been attending Ladies Night in August for many years (minus during the pandemic). We travel from Somerset and go with friends who live adjacent to the course. We always go to the Premier Restaurant. Last Thursday was an unrecognisable experience compared to when we first started coming. No cold white wine available. Who wants to drink warm white wine?! Basic catering and hospitality necessities. And then when we pointed this out nobody seemingly thought it might be a good idea to chill some bottles. Our next two bottles were room temperature also. However my husband’s soup was cold but should have been hot. By the time it was replaced I had finished my starter. One bread roll - no chance of being offered more. We asked if there were any biscuits available with our coffee and we’re given a plate of cream crackers. I can clearly remember how I was made to feel special on the first few times I came. We all go to great lengths to dress up for such a special occasion but wasn’t made to feel special last Thursday - just a number and an income. And when our bill arrived we had been charged for 4 bottles of wine instead of 3. And for a cider that we’d been told was not available as the pipes hadn’t been cleaned. The waiting staff did their best considering they appear to be working with incompetent management. Huge disappointment. Especially when you think about how much it costs per person.

Security staff on the gate are rather aggressive, and conduct overly intrusive searches of ladies handbags, they literally went through every note and card in my wallet !! Give this place a miss, there are much nicer racecourses to visit

Five Stars to Fontwell Races even though I lost most of my money (ha ha) what a lovely day had by all. We parked in the middle of the course (£5 charge) and by doing this you can take your own picnic for the whole family including alcohol. There was a free, old fashion fairground with rides for the kids it made a lovely family atmosphere. Now for the racing... the size of some of the races/fields were small in number but the jockeys gave us excitement and frills to enjoy. The great advantage of Fontwell is the configuration of the course it is a figure of eight with great views and in places you could nearly touch the magnificent horses. A top notch day we will return again and again.

All the staff were very friendly,however they were all unaware of where you obtained the racecard from!We had purchased the deal that gives each of you a drink,pie and racecard.Went to reception office for card,nope you get it from main entrance,nope you get it from Tote,nope you get it from main office!Got it eventually after a conflab between ladies from tote and reception.Also,it is not made clear which food and drink outlets supply the deal items.The management team should make it clearer for customers and also make sure all staff are aware of these points.Apart from these glitches we enjoyed our day.

What a fantastic day out loved it for a first time ever experience . I did bet and had a nice 78.10p win . We had a lovely meal there and live music all facilities available plenty of drinks and other foods available security there plenty of car parking saw beautiful horses every one was happy made for such a great first time

Went to the family fun day and was very impressed by it. They had lots of free things to do for the kids, like face painting, inflatables and a couple of fair ground rides. The atmosphere was great. The only thing I would moan about was the price of the food, you pay top price for rubbish quality.

A lovely course, the only true national hunt figure of 8 course in the country.Decent standard of racing, which was very enjoyable.Easy to get in and out of the course, which is right by the. A27 near Arundel.Plenty of bars, though service was incredibly slow. We bought Premier tickets and it's really not worth it. You get access to a bar where the service is slow, and the seating area is small with a poor view.
