We booked a taxi with St Erth & Hayle Cars about an hour before needed to collect us at train station to take us home, which was just 1 mile away. We'd been away for nearly 3 weeks and had loads of luggage with us. We'd tried another taxi company first, who turned us down once they realised it was just a 1-mile journey. But for St Erth, it was no problem at all. In fact, our train was a little bit late, but the driver was waiting patiently for us on the platform as we pulled into the station. Friendly as could be! We will definitely use St Erth again. Thank you!

Service was excellent from initial booking which was made months ahead to confirmation the week before and replies were always prompt. Taxi's arrived on time and for the return leg Charlie was happy to wait for around 45 minutes as we were running late, no complaints at all. The highlight of the trip was the disco bus on the way home which finished our day off in the best possible way. If you are in the area and need a cab, right up to the 16 seat disco bus, you should look no further. Thanks for everything Charlie, very professional service.

Booked a taxi was told it would be half an hour, we waited outside and rang multiple time an hour and they never answered also left voicemails. Worst part Is in cornwall the walks home are not pedestrian friendly. Had to walk a over an hour home after midnight

They took my booking for myself, husband and daughters from pub in Carbis Bay (just up the road from Hayle) but failed to check which Cornish Arms pub. As a result we were left freezing outside the pub for almost 45 minutes. When they finally realised their mistake at 11.30pm, they refused to send a cab the four miles to pick is up! The controller told us we should have realised it was outside their area, despite me explaining we were visitors to Cornwall and had been given the number by a local restaurant in Carbis Bay. Well done A1 taxis for getting someone to us immediately despite a busy night.

Absolutely shocking!! Pre booked taxi for 11.30 which never arrived!! After waiting in the cold for 30 minutes we tried calling them, they did not answer and then turned their phone off. We had to walk 6 1/2 miles home. We will never use this firm again and will advise everyone we know not to.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would, booked a taxi 2 days in advance to be a picked up over the phone, all fine. The day comes, booked for 9am and didn’t even turn up, wouldn’t answer their phone and I missed my train, ended having to buy a new ticket. DO NOT USE THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY

Was our Godsend. Return trains had been cancelled from 6.30pm at St Ives, it was late in evening and dark by time a bus got us to St Erths. 6 of us including sleeping toddler. Taxi arrived within in 5 minutes of phone call. Amazing. Praise the Lord, and thank you St Erth and Hayle Cars.
