The concept is fantastic, the delivery less so. It was Thursday night and we were the only customers, that’s never a great sign but we were willing to give it a chance. Tables were wobbly, restaurant was a little cool. Service was average, no wine recommendations, no upselling, no checking up. Fondue was one of the worst we’ve had, it was heavy, gloopy and just not very nice. It has potential to be great but the reality was completely underwhelming. Sadly we will not be back and will not recommend.

Cheese and wine is our favourite combination as a family so what better way to celebrate our mothers 85th birthday than by heading to the cheesy grape. On arrival we waited to be seated. There was only one other table in there which always concerns me.We were told there were no olives and no cauliflower wings. We were told that several drinks were unavailable and after ordering, we were told they had no internet so it was cash only. We were the first table to order food so it was a surprise when it took over an hour to arrive. When it did arrive, it arrived in stages and some had finished eating before others arrived.I had the fondu which was the worst I have ever had. It was tasteless and heavy. We left very disappointed. We will not be back and will not recommend. To add to our disappointment, we walked in to a local deli and found a plethora of beautiful looking olives to buy. I struggle to understand why they did not purchase some so that we could have them with our meal! All in all, a very bad experience

2022 Update: Noticeable increase in price is a shame, but c'est la vie in inflation Britain. Can only hope things go back down just a little in time. Cheesy grapes a winner as ever.Fantastic addition to Henley. Come for the cheesy grapes (literally) and stay for the fabulous service. Very fairly priced and lovely atmosphere.

We discovered this lovely little place on our visit to Henley and loved the atmosphere here on a weekend evening. The mushroom pate was really delicious!

I came to this restaurant with a pre-conception that the portions were really rather small (see quite a few previous reviews). However, I must appreciate that cheese is not the cheapest of ingredients in 2022, and the one person cheese and meat board should not be a huge feast of a dish. For this reason I have no concerns over the portion size. What concerned me the most about my trip was the quality rather than quantity of the dishes. When you pay £20 for a cheese board, not an insignificant amount of money, you expect more than a version of a hastily cobbled together collection of cheese and meat from the local supermarket. The meats arrived on the platter still sitting in the same stacked pile from which they would have been taken out of the packet, while the cheese seemed to be really no better than the 2 for £4 you would buy from Tesco for your Sunday dinner… Which when accompanied by two carrot batons and two dry celery sticks, does not build the perception of any reasonable sense of value for money or quality befitting of what the restaurant is trying to build.Equally, the bread for £6 arrived cold and looked like it had recently been bought round the corner from the Waitrose baker counter. Really not good enough. However, they do have a great range of wines that arrived lovely and chilled. While the Lovibond pale ale was fantastic. The staff were friendly and polite.Overall, over-priced cheese and meat boards are semi-vindicated by lovely wine… But I would not recommend

fantastic Place. had been meaning to try for ages. Couldn't believe we got a space on Regata. Loved the food. Great choice, Wine choice was very good although a few cheaper options would be good. We had good sing to the DJ. Thanks Rebecca and team. We will be back

I take no pleasure in writing a bad review but this was honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a very long time.1) Very poor service. The waiter who took our order was pleasant but after that there was basically no service. The other waiter that was there was unfriendly, neither of them came to check if the food was ok. We sat at the table for a long while after we’d finished but nobody came to clear up our plates or give the bill so we eventually just went up to the counter to pay as we wanted to leave.2) Food and prices. The menu had potential to be great but the food was so disappointing. The extortionate prices for what we got just added salt to the wound. After ordering and then being told half of what we ordered wasn’t available, we decided on a carafe of wine, olives, a fondue and a cheese platter both to share. The fondue cheese was tasteless and barely warm, it was served with roughly 4 tiny potatoes and some crumpled bread. The cheese platter had a selection of 4 cheeses which were nice and a decent size, with a little honey and chutney. However the extras were 4 soft grapes and what looked like supermarket frozen veg. Not good at all. Total bill £65. Feels like I’ve just been robbed, especially with it overall being such a terrible experience: bad service, poor food, pathetic portion sizes and a fat bill for the pleasure.

Went here on a sunday afternoon at the advice of a local. We ordered wine an an app and fondue. We waited….waited some more…and more….one hour later we asked how much longer and was told 10 minutes. We decided to get the check and leave. To be fair we can’t tell you how the food was but BEWARE of ridiculously SLOW service! To the point of total frustration!! And I mean slow bc the place wasn’t even crowded!
