Kelvin Power Tools

I have purchased from Kelvin Power Tools a few times. Recently I had a problem with an order (the Spit resin was past the use by date). They refunded straight away with no argument. Very happy with the service provided.

Store is a lot smaller than it used to be. I was slightly disappointed that the show room has vastly reduced the amount of tools on show and that now you basically look on line and collect. Perhaps I'm too old school but I used to enjoy fiddling with the show tools to help me with my decision of which to buy as you could hold them and feel the weight and action etc.. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Preferred the old showroom to the way it is now hence for me only gets 3 stars.

Order placed friday around dinner time, delivered saturday. Very happy with the product that i purchased.Upon opening i noticed that a cable was missing so i emailed them the details and very quickly got a response from shirley saying a cable has been sent out to me. Very happy customer!

Fantastic customer service. Bought a Bosch drill(best price on the internet at the time by far) but on arrival it was missing a depth stop(what most would consider insignificant) but after emailing to let them know i was told one had been sent out with apologies no problems. Well recommended!

WATCH OUT FOR RECEIVING BATTERY WHICH DOES NOT REACH FULL CHARGE.Terrible service. Purchased an 18v Hikoki battery. Battery arrived completely drained of charge in a mangled bit of cardboard loose. No original packaging.Put on charge and the charger failed to stop. ie the battery was not reaching and maintaining full charge. Tested charger with one of my own batteries and it cut out when fully charged.Complained and sent back battery. Response was that it charged so they would not refund me in full. Maybe they misunderstand the MAJOR difference between charging, holding charge and fully charging and do not think these are important. So I guess they will sell it to someone else and send in another mangled bit of cardboard.Explanation for lack of original packaging is that they break apart sets to sell bare units and then the battery separately. Not good enough. So this explains the problem another complainant had. They open the sealed packages to switch out parts which is not a good idea as manufacturers seal them to ensure that customers know the products have not been tampered with.Also read that another customer was told no postage refund as nothing wrong with product. Unbeleivable

Really good price on the festool skill saw. Really disappointed though with the marks all over the systainer, emailed to get replacement but still to this day no response, not good when you spend over £800 on one tool I expect it to be shinning.

I have purchased tools from them online a few times before as they are generally reasonably priced. Recently purchased a Bare drill driver and paid for next day delivery as I needed it for a job the next afternoon. As sure as eggs where eggs it arrived. No worries, except it was faulty. Frustrating for sure but not the reason for the number of stars. I went out locally to source something locally that I paid more for. I returned the drill as per the returns policy, I sent it signed for to make sure it got there safe and sound. 10 days later I finally get a reposes from a chase up email saying that my refund will be with me in 5-10 days time which could be almost three weeks after i returned the drill. I also get an unnecessary comment back saying that they can't find a fault, which given I had three people try the drill to make sure I wasn't being stupid, I find hard to believe. The refund came back with a deduction for postage (which i paid for when I paid for next day delivery). Personally I think this is very poor service and i won't be buying anything from them again.

I have Bought loads of tools from kelvin over the years gave them the benefit of the doubt but no more. Firstly came in to buy load of drill bits only to discover prices displayed are not accurate (really) paid extra at till.the other day I brought my £1200 Honda generator I bought from you last year for service to be told no go elsewhere we are to busy! Seriously are yous joking I won’t be back poor service to say the least I am really disappointed
