This is a great business and I use them regularly to MOT and service my vehicles. They have saved my previous car from an early visit to the scrap yard by saving me a fortune on a fully replaced flywheel and clutch. As well as this they now look after my current car and are always very thorough with a great knowledge of many issues on both older and modern manufacturers. They have never failed me nor my wallet as they will try to offer various options when you are on a tight budget. Detailed answers and fair pricing. Friendly and helpful service from all staff with great all-round communication skills.

Generally good however I booked an MOT but their MOT operative was off sick. They could not offer another MOT appointment for several weeks. The car failed it's MOT because of the handbrake at another venue despite just having a major service. This has cause me severe inconvenience

Great place to get your MOT done very reliable availability. You can book online and see all available slots they have or do the traditional phone and book if you prefer.I've used them a few times now for my motorbikes over the years. Lots of over services they provide. Haven't used them for anything else so can't comment.

I've used this firm for several years now to service and MOT my car. They always seem to do a good job, are upfront about costs and always helpful. They even remind you when the next MOT is due which is handy as I always forget!

Absolutely trust this local business, I use it for all the cars in the family. I trust that unnecessary work won’t be undertaken and work that is is always perfect and reasonably priced . Definitely recommend.

We have used 1st Stop Cars for MOT and servicing, and have found the service excellent, efficient, and good value. I recently found myself stranded in Rochford, picking up daughters car with a car key that needed a new battery. I legged it to 1st Stop Cars and Kevin very kindly replaced the battery for me - what an absolute life saver :)

Cannot fault 1st Stop Cars at all in the four or so years I've been using them to service both our cars as well as fixing general problems, not to mention the dreaded MOTs. They are very attentive and Kev the owner and 'front of house' is very polite and always gets back to you when he says he will. I cannot recommend them highly enough, especially when you tell you not to waste your money on things that might not be necessary or if there's a better way – although never scrimping where it comes to safety and road legal matters. Excellent local garage for Rochford and the surrounding areas.

On Tuesday I had a problem with a deflating tyre after I had left for work. So I called in and saw Kevin and left him with the car. He inspected the tyre, ordered a new one, fitted the spare wheel on so I could get home. I returned on Thursday as I was not at work Wednesday and left him with the car. He refitted and balanced the wheel with the already fitted new tyre and I picked up the car after work. It was so easy to deal with Kevin and I’d like to say Thank You very much to everyone involved, you got me out of trouble.Alan

I’m a woman and I highly recommend Kevin. I only trust him and his advise. He’s very honest and reasonable. Please don’t look any further. I travel all the way from Basildon to get my cars repaired and MOT’d
