Independent shop...we've only got a fish pond, Grinters have variety of fish foods, loose, by weight, so far less costly than the packs. Lots of other pet products.Supply lots of wild bird food, nuts, seeds, meal worms etc..all weighed up out of bulk sacks, so less packaging...will also deliver.

Such a great shop. So glad I went here and not to the big chain shop down the road. Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They saved me time and money and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly reccommended!

Bought raincoat today for dog that is long in her back could not take dog in for fitting.gentleman advised me of size from photos I showed him and assured me of a refund if it didn't fit. It did fit. Very friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend this shop.

Generally I buy off the internet save 25-45% and don't have to carry it back to the car.When we saw the independent pet supply store, I genuinely was interested to see if there was a better variety and service-compared to faceless multinational chains with staff who are clock watching until their shift ends.Browsing for a collar and a heavy duty toy for my Bull lurcher, I was pleasantly surprised to see an extremely well stocked shop and friendly polite staff who were not the least bit pushy.My reasons for writing this review are:-1) While the internet is king on price, being able to see and feel the item has it's place2) If we do not support good service and independent retailers- eventually there will be no choice3) for the polite service and a superbly stocked shop, the prices for an independent high street shop were quite fair taking into account overheads the business must have.I'd recommend a purchase based on good old fashion service, owner / staff enthusiastic and knowledgeable about pets.

Better than any chain pet shop, with comparable prices, but much much better product knowledge.Good ranges of essentials, and all those little treats for pampered pets.

Grinders have been here since as far back as I can remember, when you step inside its like going back in time.. We still buy our pet food treats here, and travel 42 miles just for the Jurassic bones they sell for our greedy hounds.Very pleasant staff, very good prices
