Tiny shop but really interesting. The owner clearly knows his jewellery and was very nice and helpful.

Mr Barker is very knowledgeable. When I said I was going to collect my unsold items, I arrived to be told he had sold everything and was given a cheque, but I was disappointed at how much commission and what he called 'costs' he deducted. I would suggest making a detailed list and putting a reserve price on your items.

Mr Barker is a gentleman of rhe old school. A charming man. A lovely little shop a gem of a place in swanage.

Hard to believe this guy manages to do business with anybody. After looking at rings in the window with my daughter we went in to enquire about their sizes to get a surprise for my partner. I was rudely told that I couldn’t know the sizes as I “wasn’t committing to buy one”, the owner then proceeded to tell me he wouldn’t waste his time with me because he’s there to buy and sell jewellery, not humour people. How I’m expected to pay hundreds of pounds for a ring without knowing their sizes is beyond me. It’s safe to say the owner talked himself out of a sale within 10 seconds of me walking in and I won’t be returning whilst it’s under the same ownership. In summary, terrible service from a seemingly terrible bloke
