My daughter and I are regular visitors to Essence Hair where the friendly staff go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Time is taken to discuss requirements and we are always delighted with the expertise of the stylists and quality service.

I’ve been a customer here for many years, and am as pleased with the service I receive, as I was when I first came.Katy is always happy to discuss changing colour, changing style, and knows what suits me.Very pleased with the cut and colour at my last appointment… Tuesday 22nd March.

Had a great experience at essence hair today, was greeted with a friendly welcome and smiles from the staff. Carice did my hair colour and cut, she was knowledgeable and professional, definitely recommend

I've been going to this salon for about 14 years. I regularly like to change my hair and like the hairdresser to have ideas. All of the stylists are great, they take the time to find out what you like, your hair type and how much effort you like to put into managing your hair. They are not afraid to say if something won't suit your hair type or face etc (diplomatically of course!). There is always a warm welcome, it's a very friendly place. I take my kids here also as it's half price for kids Mon to Wed. I'm very fussy about hairdressers and used to travel to London to stay with a good one. I tried lots of salons locally but was never satisfied. I walked in here and asked for someone senior who could give me ideas. I was introduced to Katy. I've never been to another salon since. I've also had to start colouring my hair and Lloyd is an excellent colour specialist. Can't recommend it enough and no I'm not related or on commission, just a regular satisfied customer. My son hates having his hair cut but Jon is brilliant with him and does a great job. Very friendly professional staff. Coffee is good too!

The entire team are brilliant, professional and skilled. They’re extremely diplomatic and take time to listen to your requirements. Gemma is a professional from beginning to end and cannot recommend this salon more highly. Katie you’ve done an amazing job! Xx

Had a lovely appointment with Katy this week. She was extremely friendly, helpful and listened to what I wanted. The salon has a calm but professional vibe and I felt very pampered when I left. Will be returning for my next haircut there.

Great staff, first experience in a hairdressers and I can't recommend them enough. Gemma gave me a new haircut and has done an absolutely fantastic job.

Absolutely terrible service to cancel an appointment less than 2 hours before because a staff member went home early! Especially when I didn’t select a stylist and was happy for any of them to do a cut and blow dry! Childcare had been arranged and other things moved around to finally get to the hairdressers only for it to be cancelled for a poor excuse! Maybe a blessing in disguise as I had been told the customer service wasn’t great but gave them the benefit of the doubt!

Very professional staff and really friendly. I had a re style with Gemmy A and a base colour and highlights with Katy.Very pleased with the end results can't recommend enough. Thankyou both
