Jax School Of Barbering

I trained on the beginners course with Jax s.o.b back in September 2020. Something that really drew me to choose to train with Jax was not only the hands on, quality training you get from Tonie and Ste but also the fact that you were working on real clients from day 1, meaning you were essentially building your clientele from the first day of the course.The sessions were pretty structured, leaning more towards fading techniques but still staying adaptable depending on who and what your client wanted that week.We were really encouraged to get as many haircuts in as possible between course nights, so we were ready to learn new skills each week, rather than refreshing the same things over and over.All in all I would really recommend this course. Obviously you have to be slightly realistic and can’t learn absolutely everything to do with barbering in a 10/12 week course, but it does give you all the essential knowledge to continue building yourself and find what works best for you. I’d say it is an excellent starting point towards a career in the industry

I’ve completed both of the Jaxs beginners and advance courses. One straight after the other, if you are a barber with a small background of experience and want to up you’re skill set and demand from clients this is 100% the way you need to go. It might seem a little much. However the skills you pick up in 12 weeks even if you’ve never picked up a pair of clippers or scissors is absolutely insane. Personally both courses were just as good as the other for me. I learnt with lads on the beginners course who at the end could do a super clean skin fade and beard shape without any help. And all that took was 12 weeks and believe me it absolutely has flown! So don’t sleep on yourself! Both Tonie and Ste are wizards and can even make the most simple haircuts look like a million dollars. The teaching and knowledge they both share with you from little tiny fine details to complete a 10/10 haircut or from the most extreme restyles long to short. There attention to detail is more sharp then samurai swordsmith. Trust me on that i was under both wings for 6 months and when I thought I nailed it they found flaws and when corrected I was shocked at how well it came together. Don’t be fooled though. these guys can put any hairdresser to shame , with the skill of using scissors on a long gentleman’s haircut. Believe me I’ve seen them do it. Absolutely insane. If you are wanting to step up on the advance or come into something new with the beginners course. Whatever you do. Do it with Jaxs. Enough said love to the jaxs family.
